Brand extensions refer to use an established brand name in new product or product categories and are extensively applied as a marketing strategy. Brand extension success factors vary according to cultures. Consumers' attitude towards extensions is modified on the basis of their cognitional reactions and relations between the parent brand and extended product and/ or product categories. This study aims at conducting an exploratory research and revealing the relationship between the parent brand and the extended brand. More specifically, the impact of parent brand loyalty on the extension is explored. Therefore, the main objective is to evaluate the attitudes of consumers towards brand extension strategy in apparel section in Bilaspur. The study analyzes consumers' attitudes towards brand extensions specifically in apparel section. This is in particular to portray that consumers respond positively to brand extensions in various industries due to different motivations. During the methodology application process, in-depth interviews were carried out with 100 participants who were selected randomly from Shopping Store and other places. The interviews were conducted using questionnaire.

Hydrodynamics and Erosion Studies for Flow of Particulate Slurries
The investigations presented in this book, primarily computational, pertain to rheology, transport and erosion of solid liquid two-phase flow system. For flow characteristics of solid liquid suspension, the knowledge of their rheological behavior is of considerable importance. The mixtures of suspensions vary widely. They may be stable, slow or rapidly settling types. The rapidly settling suspensions with which present work is related offer considerable difficulty in the determination of apparent viscosity due to quick phase separation. This book deals with a careful investigation on the effect of solids concentration, particle size, size distribution, surface characteristics and drag reducing agent on the apparent viscosity of the suspensions. In the present investigation, two solids namely coal and copper ore which are opposite in surface characteristics have been chosen. It is observed that the coarse size coal in water exhibit less apparent viscosity compared to fines where as copper ore behaves in a reverse way. It is also found that particle size distribution has a marked influence on apparent viscosity of suspension.
