Expressions of the Heart from A to Y is a culmination of a series of events in time that have defined my life experiences. It is the bold product of unintentional foresight into a brave world of uncertainties, failures, and triumphs in a quest for reason, purpose, and sanity. These expressions are as unique as they are candid. They represent a blend of encounters all the way from youthful innocence to this seasoned woman of today and tomorrow. Unfinished in its nature, for it signifies a close of a chapter and the beginning of a new life of expressions. As I live I write and as I write, I live. Expressions of the Heart from A to Y embodies this phrase. With writing as a conduit for expressing heart felt emotions, a new day somehow always seemed to dawn. And with each new day, a different set of challenges emerged that tugged at the very core of my existence. Some days were familiar; others were as alien as learning to speak a new language while living in a foreign country. Who do you talk to about pressing issues? How does one seek help during tumultuous times? Days that can either make you close the book of life or turn the page and press toward a new chapter. While some people tend to dilute the soul through drugs, sex, violence, and/or food. I chose to write. And with every word that was written, an expression was born that breathed life into another wonderful event. That event was a new day. Due to nature's affairs of the heart, I entitled my expressions, "From A to Y" and not Z, because to me, Z meant the end: the end of loving, the end of writing, and the end of living. No matter how difficult life may be from A to Y, I believe that a whole lifetime of happiness can be amassed between Y to Z.
