Foster brothers, Kaden Marx and Brennan Kennedy, are at a precipice for change. While Kaden has made a career out of higher education as a way to drag his feet from reentering the real world, Bren has been in the thick of it. Join Kaden as he learns a valuable lesson- how having four degrees isn't a measure of your true worth, nor is it a gauge for your maturity. Hyper-focused on the six-year age difference he has with Wynn, Kaden is blinded to the fact that Wynn is now a mature man ready for a stable future by his side. Will Kaden and Wynn mature together, or will Kaden continue to stunt both himself and their relationship? Over the past four years, Bren has held down a steady job, tried his hardest to please a wife who never wanted him, and raise their child in a cohesive manner. Unable to stay on this destructive path, Bren is making choices to ensure the happiness of his wife and child, not realizing he's been placing the one person he truly wants in the friend-zone- Jackson. The happy smile is a fa ade, for beneath it is a dark secret that has the ability to tear all of Rusty Knob's major families to shreds. The terrifying past collides with the present, taking Brennan's future down a dark spiral, where the truth is finally revealed and deep betrayals are felt. Kaden Marx and Brennan Kennedy move back to Rusty Knob, attracting change in their wake... but whether it's for the greater good remains to be seen.

They call me Mrs. Whittenhower... Readers have experienced the present through the points-of-view of Katya Waters, Dexter Hayes, and Dalton Fontaine. Now it's time to experience the events that took place during those installments through a different pair of eyes- Queen's. Checkmate parallels Restraint, Unleashed, Dexter, and Dalton. Questions will be answered through Regina Regal's perspective, and motives will sharpen into clarity. Events aren't always as they may seem. Regina uses self-restraint, when she'd rather go on an enraged rampage across Dominion, New York. She must choose self-preservation, where she surrenders to Ma tre du Jeu's extortion, rather than get even. Learning her enemy, while doing as they bid, Regina protects all she calls hers, at the cost of her pride and self-respect.

Determined to share the Gospel and share the goodness of our creator, our author takes traditional Bible stories and shares from the perspective of the character from the Bible. Many say that she thinks differently and believes that she is often misunderstood, but that does not stop her. This project came to her while praying about a skit for her church, God Cares We Care House of Prayer, for Resurrection Sunday. As the characters came alive in a different way, she continued to write beyond the number of characters needed for the skit and this book was birthed. We all fail from time to time and God is right there to share His Grace and Mercy with us. Don't beat yourself up for times when you fail, but learn from the lesson and move forward into purpose. As you read about the various characters, I ask you to also look deep into your own life to examine how God's Grace and Mercy Met You He loves you unconditionally and because God Cares, We Care We care about your soul and how it yearns for the things of God for your life. Live an abundant life in Christ because He truly Cares for you

I remember that first time we kissed, After that year, before our goodbyes, Looked up to see your watery ocean eyes, fill my veins. I remember kissing your storm, falling from your blue ocean heart. I remember, I remember us, I remember it all What I remember the most? My heart dying, in miss of yours, We pulsate golden breath. I remember all of this, for you are my treasure. For a night. Unsatisfied. - Erica Varela

The formal deftness of these couplets--three per page of almost exactly the same length which are, yes, a set of fence rails. Some might find that sort of strategy suspect: the idea that a formal or structural device could shape a collection in a meaningful way, but in this case, it is so very well done. The collection's personal, at least historically personal--family history, in which we get to know an ever more silent coal miner father and an eerily silent-but-communicative mother, as well as the fences, literal and figurative, that keep them separate and together. The family is the fence and the fence is the family; we're on one side, and we're on the other side of those rails. Add to this certain aspects of astronomical physics (black holes, the big bang, the sound of the universe speaking), and the book is both modest and immensely ambitious.
