The Origins, Career and Destruction of the Kelly Gang
In October 1878, Victorian Police were instructed to find the Kelly Gang, using the first ever photo I.D.; but the Kellys found them first...'When Kennedy and Scanlon were gone the other two set about camp work. McIntyre, who had the cooking for the day in hand, had disembarrassed himself of his weapons, so when suddenly confronted by the Kelly Gang, and ordered to throw up his hands, he had no resource but obey. Lonergan, who was armed, instead of doing so, started running with apparently the idea of getting some vantage ground from which to shoot. He had only covered four or five yards when he was shot down, and expired a few minutes afterwards. That he meant to show fight was evident by the attempt to get out his revolver when running. According to the evidence given at the trial, the gang manifested some regret at having to shoot down so plucky a fellow. This, however, did not apparently alter their intentions in regard to the rest of the party...'One of the rarest of all Kellyana, The Origin, Career and Destruction of the Kelly Gang has been out of print in any form for over 100 years. Fully illustrated with contemporary engravings and photographs.
Remember Me, Irene: An Irene Kelly Mystery
From Edgar Award-winning author Jan Burke comes the fourth Irene Kelly novel. I'm not who I used to be....The remark, whispered by a stranger on the street to Irene Kelly, becomes all the more unnerving when the newswoman realizes she knows the man. He's Lucas Monroe, her former college instructor who had looked forward to a brilliant future. Now he's a derelict in hiding, an unlikely suspect in blackmail and murder. What happened to Monroe's life strikes Irene as bizarre. But it's what happens to him in death that fills her with dread. Her long-lost mentor is found murdered, and whatever the picturesque town of Las Piernas is hiding has made some people very rich, very guilty, and very dangerous.

The Hal Roach Comedy Shorts of Thelma Todd, ZaSu Pitts and Patsy Kelly
?Hoping to follow his Laurel and Hardy success with a female comedy team, producer Hal Roach paired Thelma Todd with ZaSu Pitts in a 1931 series of two-reel shorts. Pitts left the studio for other pursuits, was replaced by Patsy Kelly and the series continued to be successful. Todd died under mysterious circumstances in 1935 and Kelly tried to carry on, first with Pert Kelton, then with Lyda Roberti. When Roberti died in 1938, the series ended. This book takes the first film-by-film look at each of the comedies these women made, how they responded to different directors and how production adapted to changes along the way. Credits, production information, period reviews, and critical assessments are included.
Shape, Ground, Shadow: The Photographs of Ellsworth Kelly

Shape, Ground, Shadow: The Photographs of Ellsworth Kelly

sidottu
A landmark publication featuring 60 career-spanning photographs by Ellsworth Kelly, one of the most revered artists of the past 100 years Marking the first museum exhibition devoted solely to the photographs of Ellsworth Kelly, this beautifully designed volume features each photograph in the Santa Barbara Museum of Art’s illuminating presentation of this lesser-known aspect of Kelly’s art. From the late 1940s on, Kelly created an era-defining body of abstract art based on many kinds of visual phenomena he perceived around him. Largely made for himself, Kelly’s photographs record these discoveries in tightly-composed images of nature and architecture that often reverberate with striking sunlight and shadow. Similar as they may appear, Kelly did not base his paintings, sculpture and works on paper on his photographs. The camera for Kelly was yet one more artistic tool he used to brilliantly transcribe his lived surroundings into an art that, however abstract, always resonated with his subjective experiences of actual, everyday worlds. Kelly’s rich sensory fascination with such worlds, from shadows on a beachside staircase to the curve of a snowy hillside, courses throughout this handsome book. To those familiar with or new to the artist, these photographs offer a vividly direct chance to see Ellsworth Kelly’s eye and mind at work unlike any other genre in which this groundbreaking artist ever worked. Born in Newburgh, New York, Ellsworth Kelly (1923–2015) served in France in World War II’s Ghost Army, graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and returned to France from 1948–54. Over the next seven decades, back in New York City and then upstate, Kelly produced an uncompromising body of art that set new standards for the possibilities of abstract art in the 20th century. His work has been the subject of numerous retrospectives the world over and is represented in virtually every major national and international museum.

Billy Leaves Santa Fe-Again: An end . . . or a beginning? Excerpt: Such jails as there were in Territorial New Mexico had been hastily constructed and poorly built, usually of adobe or other vulnerable materials. Jailers relied more on chains and shackles than on secure jailhouse design to keep prisoners from escaping. A visitor once noted that the door to the Taos County lockup was securely fastened with a piece of twine. Understandably, escapes occurred frequently. Sheriff Pat Garrett-never one concerned with political correctness-remarked that southern New Mexico's Lincoln County never had a jail "that would hold a cripple." They certainly never held Billy.
Mike v Trump: Mike Grant takes on Donald Trump; Brian Kelly takes on Mike Grant; Pick the winner!
The people have had enough The hateful impeachment of Donald Trump began long before he was elected. The hard left wanted him gone from the beginning and were prepared to do so at all costs. Trump hammered back at the political establishment & they hate him for his success. Are we not sick of the hate. Michael Grant, my co-writer on this book is sick of the hate but he can't help adding a little hate to the Trump mix. James D. Veltmeyer, MD from LaJolla nailed it: "The savagery, frenzy, and outright hysteria displayed by the President's enemies within the Democratic Party, the media, and various power centers of the globalist elites, have no prior precedent."This book pits Michael Grant's Trump perspective which is hardly positive or quite negative so to speak, against Brian Kelly, yours truly in a battle royal worth your reading. Some might notice that Lets Go Publish the publisher, is headed by Brian Kelly so only the items that Michael Grant wrote himself take his position. The rest such as this book description are stock publishing items without both sides taken into account. The fact is that Donald Trump got elected because the majority of the voters had begun to no longer trust Democrats or Republicans. Many of the regular people in America decided that they could trust Trump and in fact, they continue to trust him to do what was best for America. Trump so far has not let those people down. The left cannot stand that fact.Americans had gotten sick of the elected officials in all levels of government doing the bidding of slimy politicians or political donors and hacks in the various government swamps. Donald Trump came across as the only candidate for president who offered Americans a breath of fresh air from the stodgy, bossy, establishment elites in both major parties. That's why I voted for Trump. He was brave enough to defy the status quo of rich donors controlling the government for their personal benefit. Trump is rich enough thanks to his father's and his own cunning business sense that he alone of all candidates did not have to suck up to the seedy side of life just to get elected.Everybody has an opinion but too many people have their opinion shaped by crooked politicians and crooked news media. The Crooked News Network, CNN tops the untrustworthy media scoundrel list. So many of my good friends who are otherwise smart people believe CNN like it is Christ's gospel. I mean even good people that cannot see their own faults because CNN tells them how it is. Too many people for example get all their news from crooked CNN. Yet it is now fact that at 9:00AM daily, CNN executives get their marching orders from the president of this network news organization. More or less, they are told to avoid being fired, they must continually strengthen all aspects of the political (no facts needed) effort to disparage to the death, President Trump. That must be their focus above the people's news-or they better read the WANT Ads. .Trump in his winning 2016 election campaign held rallies of from 20,000 to 50,000 people who believed that Donald J. Trump loves America and American traditional values. Look at the goodness that he instilled into his own children. He is not a liberal fool or a progressive socialist tool who hates America. He is simply for America and Americans first. So are many of you and I if we really think about it. The corrupt anti-American mainstream press has recently merged with the corrupt Democrat Party. Together they regurgitate the most obnoxious collection of hate known since the Civil War. So, now together, they hate Trump because he represents normal Americans and not the fringe actors who have together decided to unseat him as president and crown Hillary for the job. This pond scum had no rallies like Trump because there would be few attendees.
