El presente estudio analizara la prevalencia de malas oclusiones seg n la clasificaci n de Angle en los escolares que concurrieron al servicio de odontolog a del dispensario El Cady del Cant n Portoviejo provincia de Manab durante los meses de Septiembre del 2013 a Enero 2014. Fueron analizados seg n la clasificaci n de Angle que establece 3 tipos de malas oclusiones tomando en cuenta que la clase II tiene dos subdivisiones, y que se incluye en forma particular variables como api amiento dentario, disto oclusi n, mesio oclusi n y mordida bis a bis. Para realizar el examen y clasificar a los pacientes se procedi a la calibraci n del examinador y a la validaci n del formulario de encuesta. En el marco te rico se analiza los conceptos de oclusi n. Dentaria, posiciones de la oclusi n dentaria, As como oclusi n normal, alteraciones patol gicas, etiolog a. Con respecto a los materiales y m todos, consta la planificaci n de recursos, humanos, f sico, materiales, los t cnicos y econ micos. Afirmando que se aplic un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal en la mencionada escuela, se conceptualiz las variables, con la dimensi n y tipo.
