A small-town waitress and a Hollywood star's worlds collide in this new romance by Ashley Herring Blake, USA Today bestselling author of Iris Kelly Doesn't Date. Once upon a time, Ramona Riley was a student at a prestigious art school, with dreams of landing in Hollywood as a costume designer to the stars. But after her father's car accident, she had to quit and return to her small New Hampshire town, Clover Lake, to help take care of her younger sister. Twelve years later, Ramona is still working at the town's caf , all but given up on her dream. But when a big-budget romantic comedy comes to Clover Lake to film, she wonders if this could be her chance. There's only one problem--Dylan Monroe, her first kiss and Hollywood's favorite wild child--is the star. Dylan Monroe has always lived an unconventional life, having famous rock icons for parents. But she wants to prove that she's not some chaotic, talentless nepo baby, that she has actual skills, that she's just a normal person. To do that, Dylan takes on a project at a charming lake town--she even works at the town's caf (very quaint), shadowing a local waitress there (very cute), and asks her to take Dylan around to do Normal People Things. But Dylan soon realizes it's not just some small-town waitress she's getting to know--Ramona Riley is someone she's met before, someone who remembers her even more vividly. Before long, however, reality hits them, and both women must decide if the spark between them can fan the flames of their individual dreams, or if it will extinguish their light.
Steam in England: The Classic Colour Photography of R C Riley
R. C. ('Dick') Riley (1921-2006) was one of the country's foremost railway photographers; starting with mono just prior to World War 2, he moved over to colour in the early 1950s, when such film was both expensive and slow. Working in the banking industry gave him the opportunity to travel widely and, aided by his trackside pass and contacts within the railway industry, he was able to access locations and views from which many other photographers were excluded. From his early work through to the end of main line steam in 1968 he took countless thousands of transparencies; over the years a number have been published but there remain a significant number that have yet to see the light of day. This large landscape format book showcases over 200 colour images taken by Dick Riley between the early 1950s and 1968. Although he took a large number of photographs in the Southern and Western regions, the book will also include a significant number of illustrations on both the Eastern and London Midland regions.Dick Riley was also a prolific photographer of industrial railways, and the book includes a brief selection featuring these fascinating sites, as well as recording aspects of the day-to-day life of the railways such as signs and minutiae, which were largely ignored by other photographers. The text has been compiled by his close friend and executor Rodney Lissenden, who had access to Dick Riley's personal diaries for anecdotal tales relating to the images concerned.

Sooner: The Making of a Football Coach - Lincoln Riley's Rise from West Texas to the University of Oklahoma
Sooner tells the remarkable rise of Lincoln Riley, formerly America's youngest college football head coach and the "quarterback whisperer" of the University of Oklahoma.Legendary University of Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops shook the college football world in 2017 when he handpicked Lincoln Riley to be his successor at the perennial powerhouse. At age thirty-three. In his first three seasons at Oklahoma, Riley's teams dominated the Big 12 to reach the national semifinals each year, and two of his quarterbacks--Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray--won the Heisman Trophy and were No. 1 overall picks by the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals in the NFL draft. In Sooner, Brandon Sneed charts Riley's remarkable ascent from small-town star quarterback in West Texas, to walk-on turned assistant coach at Texas Tech, where he learned the revolutionary Air Raid system from Mike Leach, to offensive coordinator at East Carolina, to football titan Oklahoma. It takes more than sheer talent to go toe to toe with the brilliant strategists of the modern game--like The University of Alabama's Nick Saban, University of Texas's Tom Herman, and Ohio State's Urban Meyer--and Sneed shows how this wunderkind's commitment, grit, relationships, pain, brains, and passion have empowered him to compete. And win. More important than the zealous fans, the intense rivalries, and the multimillion-dollar contracts, are the human connections that lie at the heart of Lincoln Riley's triumphs as a coach. Sooner is not only the story of a mastermind in the making, but also a reminder of the many people who make each of us who we are.
