The Mirror of Light and Other Works collects together six of Rodney Collin's shorter and yet essential works, offering for the first time a panoramic view of his unique contribution to the Work. From the aphoristic depth of the Mexico years to the dramatic and historical interpretations of esoteric laws, this collection serves as a definitive manual for the modern seeker. It includes: - The Mirror of Light: A profound collection of insights that strip away the complexity of the intellectual system to reveal the raw, emotional heart of self-observation. - Hellas: A visionary exploration of ancient Greece, viewing the cradle of Western civilization not as a historical relic, but as a specific "school" of influence that shaped the human psyche. - The Mysteries of the Seed: Collin's brilliant synthesis of biology and esotericism, demonstrating that the laws of growth, and transformation. - Lessons in Religion for a Skeptical World: A pragmatic bridge between the cynical modern mind and the eternal truths of the sacred. - The Christian Mystery: An investigation into the esoteric roots of Christianity, reconciling it with the teachings of the Fourth Way. - The Herald of Harmony: A concluding vision of the balance required to live within the Ray of Creation, aligning the centers of man with the celestial harmonies of the solar system.

This book follows the evolution and examines the management of New Brunswick’s health system reform launched in 2008. The theoretical framework of the first part offers unprecedented insight into the dynamics that helped shape the reform of a public health care system. The next section provides an overview of the delivery of health care and health services in New Brunswick, from the post-Second World War period to the present day, and draws lessons that will be useful for developing and implementing potential reforms in other Canadian provinces. The last part presents the observation that it is important for governments to define a point of convergence agreed upon by the key actors involved, such as citizens and professionals. Government decision-makers thinking of undertaking such a large-scale reform, as well as managers responsible for implementing change, will find this book to be an indispensable tool that is sure to provide readers with food for thought. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam face similar questions and challenges about the continuing role of a foundational revelation that gives rise to a Tradition and traditions and, most importantly, to the sacred Scriptures in their formation and interpretation. A conversation among three experts in Christian, Jewish, and Muslim theology, this book introduces readers to the foundational issues that all three Abrahamic religions face as they examine comparative issues that affect major, monotheistic faiths. "It is my greatest joy to read and savor my friend Gerald O'Collins's last book. It is the capstone of a long and prodigious career of research and scholarship. Always open to new insights and new fields, O'Collins revisits his favorite theme, namely fundamental theology, on which he has written several trailblazing books, but this time in dialogue with his two confreres on Judaism and Islam. The book is vintage O'Collins, marked by a willingness to listen, profundity of thought, wide-ranging scholarship, and lucidity of expression. The book is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest and prolific theologians of our times." —Peter C. Phan, The Ignacio Ellacuria, SJ, Chair of Catholic Social Thought, Georgetown University "In our disrupted world of global religions, it has become crucial again for interreligious relations and coexistence between Christians, Jews, and Muslims to understand the idea of God's revelation according to the religious 'other.' This book addresses this question in a direct way that is clarifying and hope giving at the same time." —Massimo Faggioli, professor of historical theology, Villanova University Gerald O'Collins, SJ (d. 2024), was professor emeritus of theology at the Gregorian University in Rome and a prolific author of books and articles. Marc Rastoin, SJ, teaches at the Biblical Institute in Rome and has enjoyed extensive contacts with Judaism. Jean-Marc Balhan, SJ, has lived for many years in Turkey, where he has engaged in long-standing dialogue with Muslims. †

Immensely popular in nineteenth-century France, this substantial book went through five editions between 1818 and 1863. It is an A–Z encyclopedia of the occult sciences, listing notable practitioners and books, superstitions, demons, spirits and other phenomena associated with magic, divination, sooth-saying and the supernatural. Its author, the prolific Collin de Plancy (1794–1881), moved to Paris in 1812. He owned a bookshop and speculated in property, a venture which resulted in his exile to Brussels. In 1837, he returned to Paris, rejected his earlier anticlericalism, and converted to Catholicism. The preface to the 1845 edition of his Dictionnaire Infernal, reissued here, claims its purpose is to refute error, banish superstition, and explain literary symbols and imagery.Significantly, the preface and the book's concluding paragraph affirm the Church's role as a source of truth, and the book carries the approval of the archbishop of Paris.
