Kate's journal begins with a very simple entry. "I like pizza and ice cream and going on dates and watching funny movies. I like to swim and text on my phone and go skiing in the winter. Oh, and there's one more thing you should know about me. I just killed my baby." Join Kate as she struggles with the aftermath of having an abortion, and the nightmare she never dreamed would follow.
Mommy, I Miss You is a true story told by Ava through her vivid artistic illustrations that simply come alive on each page. She tells her story of true love and hope as she copes with the pains of separation while her Mother is away on a business trip. Ava pulls each and every one of our heartstrings as we visualize her soulful feelings of the love she has for her Mother. With only five years of life experiences she is able to harness her raw emotion through pencil and crayon and project it onto paper rather than the traditional temper tantrum of others her age. She is a true artist well beyond her years telling her story while simultaneously capturing our eyes, ears, minds and hearts. This is our first book together and certainly not our last. - Daddy&Ava4ever
In the last days before Christ's return, deception will be a key component in Satan's arsenal. Biblical truth will be the only weapon needed, to stop any religious myths from taking hold. When an accurate Biblical Rapture is very different from what's being taught in the body of Christ, deception is quite evident. It is every Christian's individual responsibility to be equipped with truth and the power of the Holy Spirit, thus shining light on the darkness.Let's put the scriptural pieces together and see an accurate account of Jesus' return. Jesus is not coming back to retrieve the Christians. He is coming back to retrieve the Holy Spirit that's supposed to be in the Christians. If there's enough Holy Spirit in us to collect, we will be transfigured and caught up to meet Him.
Thoughts worth living for I am a visionary seeing the picture in my mind way in advance. I summon my imagination and all of its wonderful contents. My faith never wanes, even though wishes can take a while to materialize. Negativity seeks a way into my mind, using deceit, but I refute such thoughts. My dreams never fade. I always keep them in the back of my mind. I know a change will come because I'm stubborn and persistent. Never am I discouraged by the time it takes for me to rendezvous with destiny. I am still for the Lord, waiting patiently for a rainbow to appear when I least expect it. Nothing stands in my way because I will circumvent any obstacle until I reach my utopia. I'll wait with patience and contentment for my innermost desires. I won't become a skeptic or doubtful of what is sure to come. I want my thoughts and all I am thinking to manifest into the physical world. You see, these thoughts are so magnificent that they alone are worth living for. --Extracted from Food for Thought by Duane Ashley Poole

Coyote and Magpie reexamines the murder charge and, often under difficult conditions, collects information that will be used during a new trial. Involved in the quest for new information and eventual justice are Deputy Sheriff Lenny Craig and citizen Delmar Mentis, who take the reader along with them as they investigate every aspect of the crime that they believe was committed by Irana Dubliski. As evidence is collected, Deputy Craig and Delmar Mentis convince Sheriff Chester Overman and Judge Wolfe that the ultimate sentence be given to Irana Dubliski. Debts due from certain legislators enable the law enforcement group to carry out an unusual punishment at the old, vacated prison. Strange legal and quasi legal machinations are not uncommon in Wyoming, and although this is a purely fictional possibility, that very possibility of using the old prison during an actual case was discussed in 1992. What will Deputy Craig and Delmar Mentis achieve in their investigation and court room drama? What event awaits the defendant Irana Dubliski at the old prison? We shall see as Coyote and Magpie is read.

No one believed fourteen-year-old Jarrod Grant when he told them what happened to his family. They said it was just a coping mechanism to deal with what he'd seen, but no matter how hard they tried to get the truth out of him, all he could talk about was the portal that had opened in his room, and the creature that had come through it to abduct his mother, and his younger brother. His story hit the local news, and he was thrown into a social system that only seemed to exist to make him feel like he was insane. Soon enough he was placed with a very loving set of foster parents who did their best to help him through his trauma, but his school life was a different matter entirely. He was treated like a freak, and turned into a social outcast whose only comfort was a notebook, which he obsessively filled with illustrations of what happened to him and his family on that fateful night. When he started his senior year of high school four years later, he expected it to just be more of the same. He never dreamed that he'd meet two amazing girls named Tina and Sarah, who were actually interested in listening to his story. Not only did they believe him, but they made it their mission to try to find him some answers. Their search eventually leads them to a woman named Patricia Samuels, the caretaker and record keeper of a library full of lost information. Her books, some dating back centuries, contain mere hints of the answers they're looking for. To get the rest of the story however, Patricia must visit an old man in Ohio named Jack Wilson, the only living person who could possibly hold the key to the knowledge they seek.

While the vast majority of providers never intend to commit fraud or file false claims, complex procedures, changing regulations, and evolving technology make it nearly impossible to avoid billing errors. For example, if you play by HIPAA’s rules, a physician is a provider; however, Medicare requires that the same physician must be referred to as a supplier. Even more troubling is the need to alter claims to meet specific requirements that may conflict with national standards. Far from being a benign issue, differing guidelines can lead to false claims with financial and even criminal implications. Compliance for Coding, Billing & Reimbursement, Second Edition: A Systematic Approach to Developing a Comprehensive Program provides an organized way to deal with the complex coding, billing, and reimbursement (CBR) processes that seem to force providers to choose between being paid and being compliant. Fully revised to account for recent changes and evolving terminology, this unique and accessible resource covers statutorily based programs and contract-based relationships, as well as ways to efficiently handle those situations that do not involve formal relationships. Based on 25 years of direct client consultation and drawing on teaching techniques developed in highly successful workshops, Duane Abbey offers a logical approach to CBR compliance. Designed to facilitate efficient reimbursements that don’t run afoul of laws and regulations, this resource – Addresses the seven key elements promulgated by the OIG for any compliance program Discusses numerous types of compliance issues for all type of healthcare providersOffers access to online resources that provide continually updated information Cuts through the morass of terminology and acronyms with a comprehensive glossary Includes downloadable resources packed with regulations and informationIn addition to offering salient information illustrated by case studies, Dr, Abbey provides healthcare providers and administrators, as well as consultants and attorneys, with the mindset and attitude required to meet this very real challenge with savvy, humor, and perseverance.

The new edition broadens the scope of the first by examining all forms of hydrocarbon contamination. The authors emphasize the remediation of Non-aqueous Phase Liquids (NAPLs) and, Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (DNAPLs). They also address the growing role of natural attenuation. The second edition opens with an improved introduction. There are new sections on site characterization, remediation economics and site closure. And unlike other books on this subject, the new edition offers vital managerial and project management guidance, such as, initial project planning and assessment, a look at remediation economics, and a how-to on project closure and follow-up. Since its initial publication in 1991, Restoration of Petroleum Hydrocarbon Contaminated Aquifers has been the established, invaluable reference for environmental professionals and regulators. Its sweeping, yet approachable format is inestimable in the field, in the lab, and in the policy-making arena. Restoration of Contaminated Aquifers: Petroleum Hydrocarbons and Organic Compounds will continue to be the guide to the war against petroleum contamination.
This book presents a chronicle of Civil War service by Granite State soldiers in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and South Carolina. During the Civil War, some thirty-five thousand New Hampshire soldiers - representing approximately 11 percent of the state's population - were dispatched to serve the Union in seventeen infantry regiments, two cavalry regiments, three artillery batteries, and three companies of sharpshooters and as members of miscellaneous naval and marine units. Duane E. Shaffer tells the story of these forces in "Men of Granite", a thorough history of New Hampshire combat troops in the years before and during the Civil War. Focusing on the day-to-day experiences of the common soldier and his reasons for taking up the fight against the Confederacy, Shaffer has mined myriad primary sources to draw together the experiences of all of the state's regiments and units into this single, cohesive narrative.Told in chronological order, Shaffer's narrative follows the experiences of New Hampshire troops, primarily in Virginia and South Carolina.Granite State soldiers were stationed at Hilton Head for much of the war, and they offered vivid accounts of bivouac duty and of inland raids in lowcountry South Carolina. The soldiers also fought in major battles such as Manassas, Antietam, Gettysburg, and Cold Harbor. A chapter each is devoted to the Battle of Fredericksburg in December 1862, a fight that included the largest concentration of New Hampshire soldiers in the war, and the Battle of Chancellorsville in May 1863, in which the Twelfth New Hampshire suffered more casualties than any regiment on either side. Shaffer also details the disaster of the Battle of Fort Wagner in July 1863, in which New Hampshire lost more soldiers than in any other operation. He also follows his subjects' return after the war to recount their homecoming and to cement understanding of their sacrifice.Further enhanced by twenty illustrations and twelve maps, Shaffer's detailed survey reinserts the story of New Hampshire forces into the annals of Civil War history and, through frequent quotation of soldiers' own accounts, gives voice to the motivations and daily experiences of determined Union forces from the Granite State.
