In these documents, we find a firsthand account, of the life of the 15th-century boy, the passionate devotion of his father, the feelings of his brothers and sisters, the striking absence of his mother. The father's story is here as well: the career of a Venetian nobleman and scholar, patron and soldier, a participant in Venice's struggle for dominion in the north of Italy. Through these sources, King traces the cultural trends that made Marcello's century famous. A un anno dalla scomparsa di Marcello Ciampoli, avvenuta il 13 dicembre 2013, il Centro di Ricerca Interuniversitario di Aerodinamica delle Costruzioni e Ingegneria del Vento (CRIACIV), la Facolt di Ingegneria Civile e Industriale e il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Strutturale e Geotecnica della Universit di Roma "La Sapienza", con il supporto dell' Associazione Nazionale per l'Ingegneria del Vento (ANIV), hanno promosso in suo onore il 9 Dicembre 2014 una Giornata di Studio su Affidabilit delle Strutture Soggette ad Azioni Naturali Nell'occasione sono stati proclamati i vincitori di un Assegno di Ricerca per studi sulle costruzioni in muratura in zona sismica da svolgere presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Strutturale e Geotecnica, e di un Premio di Laurea bandito dal Centro di Ricerca di Scienza e Tecnica per la Conservazione del patrimonio storico-architettonico (CiSTeC) con il supporto di Advanced Materials gmbh/s.r.l., entrambi dedicati a Marcello.
