Award-winning chocolate artist Patrick Roger (Meilleur Ouvrier de France chocolatier 2000) has pursued a parallel body of longer-lasting work, creating sculptures in a variety of materials, including bronze, aluminium, silicone, marble, and concrete. He begins with chocolate as a base, working this malleable material quickly with techniques he has perfected over many years, before casting it. This book, the second volume of his sculpted works (Volume 1 was published in 2018), features 177 new creations that are described in detail and beautifully photographed. L'unico scopo nella sua esistenza era arricchirsi senza lavorare.Un giorno, capit che il Re degli animali, il giaguaro, pass per quei luoghi.La nostra scimmia, che bramava la sua bella pelliccia, lo lusing per la bellezza del suo pelame e per la sua intelligenza, e gli srotol davanti un tappeto di foglie morte.- Re Giaguaro, disse, se avessi un mantello come il tuo, sarei la pi felice di tutte le scimmie.E diceva fra s e s Sono ricca, ma non sono rispettata, mentre con un manto simile sar la fenice di questi boschi. Ma non aveva fatto i conti con la crudelt della belva.- Macaco, le disse il felino, se riuscirai a dirmi una verit facendomi ridere, la mia pelliccia sar tua. La nostra scimmia si vedeva gi pavoneggiarsi nella foresta con la pelliccia del giaguaro sulla schiena, un cappello di feltro e una piuma d'oro in testa, acclamata dagli altri animali. E allora, senza indugiare oltre, rivolse alla belva questa asserzione: - Mio Signore, disse, se tu perdessi i canini e gli artigli, saresti debole quanto il tapiro e diventeresti lo zimbello di tutta la foresta.
