Deposit money banks tend to wield tremendous influence on every nation's financial landscape. This makes them the primary focus of the monetary authorities in the task of managing the country's economy. As financial intermediaries they serve as a conduit through which funds are drawn from surplus economic entities for allocation to deficit economic units. The essence of financial intermediation is to facilitate the process of economic growth and its concomitant economic development, all things being equal. A critical factor in the act of financial intermediation is interest rate, which is the compensation borrowers pay to lenders for making use of their money for a period of time after which the initial amount they borrowed is returned to the lender.

Khat (a natural stimulant plant) has become a public health concern due to adverse health risks and negative social functioning associated with frequent chewing. While khat is a mild stimulant, there is clear evidence of khat use disorder and that some khat users are both concerned with their use and experience substantial and clinically significant problems. Prolonged exposure could lead to khat dependence, psychosis, and other psychiatric disorders. In this book, the presence of khat use disorder syndrome has been validated using DSM-5 criteria and the nature and the time course of any withdrawal syndrome related to the cessation of khat use among frequent khat users has been explored and discussed.

Kulturell gesehen wird die Misshandlung lterer Menschen in thiopien nicht als Problem wahrgenommen. Um das Verst ndnis des Problems zu verbessern, wurde eine ph nomenologische Studie durchgef hrt, die auf den Erfahrungen von 15 lteren Menschen in thiopien basiert. Die Daten wurden mit Hilfe der interpretierenden ph nomenologischen Analyse analysiert. Extreme Armut war offensichtlich; einige lteste besa en nur eine einzige Einrichtung und teilten sich mit mehreren Familienmitgliedern eine mit Wanzen ausgestattete H tte ohne Strom. Neben der Armut waren weitere Risikofaktoren f r Missbrauch Interessenkonflikte, k rperliche und gesundheitliche Bedingungen, gegenseitige Abh ngigkeit, Lebensumst nde, Ohnmacht und Trunkenheit. ltere Menschen erlebten Vernachl ssigung sowie psychische, finanzielle und physische Misshandlungen durch Familienmitglieder, Angestellte und Nachbarn. Wie ein ltester sagte: "Das Leben ist sinnlos ohne Nahrung und ohne einen Betreuer. Ich bin bereit, den Tod zu begr en." Die ltesten reagierten auf verschiedene Weise auf Missbrauch, aber ihre Bem hungen waren im Kontext der Armut und des abnehmenden Respekts vor den ltesten oft fruchtlos.

Starsi ludzie doświadczali zaniedbań, a także przemocy psychicznej, finansowej i fizycznej ze strony czlonk w rodziny, pracownik w i sąsiad w. Jak stwierdzil jeden ze starszych: "Życie jest bez znaczenia bez jedzenia i bez opiekuna. Jestem gotowy na przyjęcie śmierci." Starsi reagowali na nadużycia na wiele sposob w, ale ich wysilki byly często bezowocne w kontekście ub stwa i malejącego szacunku dla starszych.
