From Marc Levy, the most-read French author alive today, comes a modern-day love story between a famous actress hiding in Paris and a bestselling writer lying to himself. They knew their friendship was going to be complicated, but love—and the City of Lights—just might find a way.On the big screen, Mia plays a woman in love. But in real life, she’s an actress in need of a break from her real-life philandering husband—the megastar who plays her romantic interest in the movies. So she heads across the English Channel to hide in Paris behind a new haircut, fake eyeglasses, and a waitressing job at her best friend’s restaurant.Paul is an American author hoping to recapture the fame of his first novel. When his best friend surreptitiously sets him up with Mia through a dating website, Paul and Mia’s relationship status is “complicated.”Even though everything about Paris seems to be nudging them together, the two lonely ex-pats resist, concocting increasingly far-fetched strategies to stay “just friends.” A feat easier said than done, as fate has other plans in store. Is true love waiting for them in a postscript?
Struggles and Triumphs -- Sixty Years' Recollections of P. T. Barnum: Including his Golden Rules for Money-Making
"... my case was actual capital to certain preachers and religious editors who were in want of fresh illustrations wherewith to point their morals." P. T. Barnum's story is a glimpse of early 19th century and a fascinating account of the impresario's life, a legendary promoter and marketeer. Still, he was much more than a showman, he was a politician and a city father; a teetotaler and deep thinker. In short, he was a unique man whose life story is worthy of attention. Barnum's own chronicle began with his 1855 "Life of P. T. Barnum." In 1869 he published the first edition of this "Struggles and Triumphs - Sixty Years' Recollections of P. T. Barnum." Four revisions followed first in 1870, then in 1872 and 1873. This 1889 edition is the last and most complete of all. An imperative for any history buff or any business- or marketing-major, in fact for anyone with ambition.

Shelley took his place within the vatic history of mythopoetic bards and bore the Visionary legacy. He offered a simple "spark" of poetry to his audience while promising a raging fire would burn if the poetry was nurtured correctly. However, Shelley realized that most people cannot accept the poet's offering (for various reasons; ignoring, rejecting or misunderstanding) and they let that spark smolder into nothing. Shelley shouts into his written words, leaving his hard-earned knowledge of the human condition and his visionary plight for willing human ears. Shelley paints himself as the Visionary, sound and steady within a wisdom that understands the suffering beauty of the human condition, who sits as a "tranquil star" to burn as heavenly light. Shelley's hope is to guide humanity through the dark night of doubt and fear towards the possibility laying dormant within being human. This volume contains the first three volumes of Shelley's complete works of both poetry and prose, with an introduction by J. M. Beach.Volume I: Early PoemsVolume II: Later Poems & Plays Volume III: EssaysYou can find Shelley's collected translations in Volume IV, published separately.

The perfect companion for parents and toddlers at potty-training time, P is for Potty uses ABCs to engage, entertain and teach potty vocabulary. From "A is for Ask" to "F is for Flush" to "G is for Good Job " this empowering message will turn potty training into a fun, rewarding experience for everyone-especially your child "A big-eyed, blond boy is the star in the simple, eye-catching illustrations for each letter, beginning with "Aa is for Ask"-as in the unlikely question, "Can I go to the bathroom, please?" Putting a book that promotes positive toilet training into alphabetical form is a tall order, but Mutunga manages to create a reasonable, enjoyable line through the potty training process."-Kirkus Reviews "The illustrations are bright and engaging, and the look of excitement on the potty training toddler's face just might be contagious - which is good news for parents trying to give a reluctant tike a little nudge into potty training. Likewise, the parents' role is portrayed in the illustrations as both supportive and celebratory, cheering on their little one through potty victory, and working through a few accidents as well." -Colleen Brunetti, M.Ed., C.H.C. When war broke out in 1939, my father, Ed Gallagher, joined the Royal Australian Air Force-he wanted to be "doing something to give Adolf a smack in the eye". In very short order, he found himself flying over the Bay of Biscay in a Sunderland flying boat, transmitting Morse code and searching for U-boats, while often engaged in intense air-to-air skirmishes with German fighter planes. His detailed diaries describe the sometimes thrilling, sometimes boring days of men at war. His letters to my mother, who he had recently fallen in love with, reveal not only his boundless love, but also the unbearable suffering that separation from loved ones brings. After my mother's death, fifty-two years following the end of the war, my sister and I discovered 106 of Dad's letters that Mum had kept in old shoeboxes ... and so began my "PS: Love Me" journey. Ed's toned-down letters, intermingled with his tell-it-like-it-is diary entries, convey a happy-sad tale of love, separation, and loss, and of the horrible waste of war.

Tackling the oft-discussed Prophetic Word of God, PROPHECY-A Sure Word by W. A. Carnegieis a fresh take, offering a uniquely deep level of understanding of one of the most important aspects of spiritual life. If you are like most people, you have spent plenty of time wondering what the future holds. "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed" (2 Pt 1:19). In the path to a healthy life, it is critical to consider the spiritual aspect in all human beings. Carnegie has written this practical spiritual guide for all who seek to understand the Word, no matter your age, class, or level of familiarity with Christian religion. He believes "This book will inspire and encourage you to live in victory as you move into the manifestation of your Prophetic Word " While many of us wish to experience the true fulfillment that is possible in the transformational journey of living in the Prophetic Word, knowing where to begin or how to proceed can be daunting. Carnegie's thorough and methodical guide offers an expert escort to the process in much the same way that Moses was a leader helping the Hebrew people.
