During 1938 and 1939, Paul Neurath was a Jewish political prisoner in the concentration camps at Dachau and Buchenwald. He owed his survival to a temporary Nazi policy allowing release of prisoners who were willing to go into exile and the help of friends on the outside who helped him obtain a visa. He fled to Sweden before coming to the United States in 1941. In 1943, he completed The Society of Terror, based on his experiences in Dachau and Buchenwald. He embarked on a long career teaching sociology and statistics at universities in the United States and later in Vienna until his death in September 2001. After liberation, the horrific images of the extermination camps abounded from Dachau, Buchenwald, and other places. Neurath's chillingly factual discussion of his experience as an inmate and his astute observations of the conditions and the social structures in Dachau and Buchenwald captivate the reader, not only because of their authenticity, but also because of the work's proximity to the events and the absence of influence of later interpretations. His account is unique also because of the exceptional links Neurath establishes between personal experience and theoretical reflection, the persistent oscillation between the distanced and sober view of the scientist and that of the prisoner.

Perhaps no writer has so dramatically shaped the course of American philosophy as Ralph Waldo Emerson, whose meditations on spirituality, freedom, and the power of knowledge have informed and inspired generations of activists, scholars, and Published in 1870, Society and Solitude is Emerson's last great work, a collection of lectures he delivered on tour, in which he found profound insight on such seemingly prosaic topics as Art, Eloquence, Domestic Life, Books, Courage, Success, and "A man builds a fine house; and now he has a master, and a task for life; he is to furnish, watch, show it, and keep it in repair, the rest of his days," says Emerson in his lecture here on "Works and Days." Such penetrating wit and American poet and philosopher RALPH WALDO EMERSON (1803-1882) was a driving force behind the Transcendental Movement of the early 18th century. He studied at Harvard Divinity School; however, after a crisis of faith embraced individualism, rejected aut
Society, the Classroom, and Instructional Practice
Society, the Classroom, and Instructional Practice has been developed to help middle and high school teachers speak to the difficult 21st century issues in a rational, thoughtful manner. Dr. Sparapani has collected a set of experts who address societal issues as far ranging as sexual minorities, eating disorders, and urban education. He then has contributors to the book offer insights into integrating developmental and sociological theories into secondary education. In the third and final section, Dr. Sparapani has formed a group of experts to help in-service and pre-service teachers understand how they can address relevant real-world issues in their classrooms while teaching the school's established curriculum. In one text, Dr. Sparapani examines broad theoretical pedagogy, then narrows it to real-world application for teachers. As an edited volume, Dr. Sparapani has utilized the best experts in the field, giving the reader a variety of relevant and validated voices for a solid foundation in education and the current issues facing the profession today.

The exposed subject matter describes human civilization as an artificial accomplishment, purposely induced by man and altering the wild earth surroundings by invented value-added transformations in order to obtain a better quality of life. This book describes the "progress" to the human relational intelligence, namely, the weird event creating the "mind" and organizing the intangible world of knowledge, models and theories. This peculiarity encourages a hypothesis on a picky "anthropic principle" with weak or strong reading, supplying factual raison d'être to the human society progress through the discovery of the suited "culture" and "ethics" by-products.

Let's excise our old, unpleasant, burdensome history. Let's invent an American past we can rally around and get back to that place. Let's bring back Fonzie and those Happy Days. Or get us back some 1864, and some all-out Civil War. It's your choice, America. Go back or move forward. Human rights or nationalism. Freedom or slavery. Truth, progress and democracy or fantasy, fairy tales and fascism. Save the planet, or slave away under the heat of an angry Mother Earth stripped of her rights and soon to be denied birth control. And oh my, here comes a lonely, superfly Father Sky. He too, is unprotected. We're all unprotected. Society, Suspicious is an experimental, genre-bending novel told by a sometimes insufferable, yet well-meaning, hilarious, formerly dead, formerly narcissistic poet, music idol and antithetical Quixote, fabricating imaginary social media windmills, and seeking revenge on America by starting a cult through conspiracy culminating with an insurrection on 1/6/21 at the wrong building.

Society at the CrossroadsBy: Nelson N.K. Society at the Crossroads was born out of the confusion that followed in the wake of the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. Society is blind and needs some light. Many people need to know that the society can only be run more effectively if there is order and if anything happens, to find out what happened peacefully while continuing on with normal business. It is important to realize that while we may not know much, the Almighty knows all.
