Andrew Miller ends up alone in a dark and dingy corner of a bronze casting foundry as the IRS auction of it's contents rages on about him. He finds what appears to be the parts of a large piano, covered in years of foundry dust, hidden behind a big boiler In the semi-darkness of the boiler's shadow he was able to carefully examine the parts as the auction approached. He felt a sensation as he touched the curve of the case that was so compelling he knew he must obtain the parts and restore the piano. There is no auction tag so he calls this out to the auctioneer just after the big boiler that was hiding them is sold. "Piano parts We have no listing for piano parts " the auctioneer yells back to him," then continues, "Piano parts What am I bid for piano parts? Am I bid one hundred dollars?" Andy raises his auction paddle and it is immediately answered with "Sold " There is a raucous ovation of laughter and applause as the crowd moves on to the next item and Andy returns to look at what he has just done. Andy and his wife Jan had moved to Loveland, Colorado just over a year ago. He to restart his career as a sculptor and she starting a new one in real estate sales. Our debut publication by Andrew Cranston pays tribute to a pocketbook the artist has carried with him for years: a slim but charming volume containing a collection of paintings and prints by Swiss-born German artist Paul Klee. This well-worn paperback, with its yellowed pages and gatefold images, has been a continued and convenient point of reference for Cranston, with the reproductions inside bearing a significant influence on many of the works included in 'What made you stop here?', the artist's first institutional solo show at The Hepworth Wakefield. As with the original titles of the Fontana Pocket Library of Great Art series to which the Klee book belongs, the object of this publication is to introduce the work of Andrew Cranston to the general reader at a price and in a format suitable to their pocket. In keeping with this model, Cranston's latest publication functions as an accessible entry point to his work, focusing on a rich selection of the artist's large-scale works, alongside several watercolours and a suite of new etchings. The book opens with an illuminating essay by Oli Hazzard, which grapples with all things Cranston: questions of perception, memory, and storytelling, all of which is controlled by an astonishing handling of colour, materiality, and composition. Each painting is presented alongside an accompanying interpretation by Liza Dimbleby—impressionistic passages of thoughtful wonder, imbued with formal curiosity and guided by years of friendship and conversation with the artist.

The Man Who Loved Libraries: The Story of Andrew Carnegie
A picture book biography of American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie When he was a child in the 1840s, Andrew Carnegie and his family immigrated to America in search of a new beginning. His working-class Scottish family arrived at the height of the Industrial Revolution. Carnegie worked hard, in factories and telegraphy. He invested in railroads, eventually becoming the richest man in the world during his time. His philanthropy completely revolutionized public libraries, which weren't widespread at the time. New in paperback and told in simple, lyrical text, the story unfolds against striking, stylized illustrations that transport readers to the bustle and boom of the Industrial Revolution. The son of a Scottish plantation owner and a free woman of colour, Andrew Watson was provided for by his wealthy father. Receiving a first-class education in English public schools, he would later reject university to become a footballer in Glasgow. Schooled by the most advanced practitioners of the game at that time, he became one of the best footballers in Glasgow and captained Scotland's invincible national team. He played for the greatest clubs of the day on both sides of the border and as a 'Scottish professor', brought his talent to England and shared his knowledge with the Southern amateurs, helping the game evolve from a public-school pastime to a national obsession. He played alongside and educated many who would represent the English national team, changing the game forever. But the record of his achievements faded as the game he helped change took over the world, leaving his memory in the shadows. Over 100 years later, he was rediscovered in an old photograph, and after years of research, his achievements were finally recognised.

Andrew Fuller and the Evangelical Renewal of Pastoral Theology
An exploration of the pastoral theology of Andrew Fuller (1754-1815) suggests that evangelical renewal did not only take place alongside the local church - missions, itinerancy, voluntary societies - but also within the congregation as the central tasks of dissenting pastoral ministry became, in the words of one diarist, 'very affecting and evangelical'. How did evangelicalism transform dissenting and Baptist churches in the eighteenth century? Is there a distinctively congregational expression of evangelicalism? And what contribution has evangelicalism made to pastoral theology? renewal did not only take place alongside the local church - missions, itinerancy, voluntary societies - but also within the congregation as dissenting pastoral ministry became, in the words of one diarist, 'very affecting and evangelical'.

A critical biography of Andrew Fuller to coincide with the bicentenary of his death. Baptist minister, theologian and missionary statesman Andrew Fuller (1754-1815) was a hugely significant figure - he was instrumental in the rise of the modern missionary movement and the spread of the gospel around the world, and important in the revival of eighteenth-century Baptist life. This new work shows how faith and trust in God enables us to move mountains of unbelief to see the Holy Spirit come in power and conviction.
