At the age of 81, Yvon Lambert is one of the most influential collectors of our time. He was only 14 years old when he used his pocket money to buy his first work of art. In 1966, he opened his own gallery in Paris, which soon became a top venue for contemporary art. It was Lambert who introduced the minimal art, land art and conceptual art movements to a wider European audience at a time when they were still relatively new. Besides his work as an art dealer, Lambert has spent the past fifty years creating one of the most prominent collections of contemporary art. In 2011, he donated more than 600 of his works to the French state, which are now on display in a specially dedicated museum in Avignon. In the context of the art project Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017, the Pablo Picasso Art Museum in Münster brings the Lambert Collection to Germany for the first time. In particular, the exhibition features works of artists who have been part of the Skulptur Projekte programme since its early years. Some of their works include installations that still exist in the city today.

Koldo Chamorro was a self-taught photographer since 1965, when he was awarded a scholarship in 1972 for photographic studies abroad, thus being able to work with Ansel Adams, Brassaï and Ernst Haas, among others. He was a member of the Minority Photographers of New York. In Spain he joined the already dissolved Alabern group and participated in the documentary stream since the 80s. He collaborated in the conservation of an imaginary about to disappear. His gaze was maturing towards more complex forms and more personal issues. The photographic series of ‘El Santo Christo Ibérico’, shows the Catholic cross as the protagonist of a narrative that reveals the contradictions of a country that craves modernity but is anchored in old customs.

Yurodstvo (holy foolishness) is widely regarded as a "Russian national phenomenon". This Christian ascetic paradigm, though present in Eastern monastic literature since the fifth century, has gained wider cultural significance only in Russia. Christian Munch chronicles the interpretations of yurodstvo and the multiple religious, social and cultural significance the practice received in Tsarist Russia (1547-1917). Its main temporal focus is on the Imperial Period (18th-19th centuries), when yurodivye (holy fools) were persecuted by church and state, before they were placed in modern literature and theology by poets and thinkers who took notice of them. Based on an extensive corpus of texts ranging from medieval hagiography through legal decrees to modern religious literature and fiction, the study presents yurodstvo comprehensively and in all its facets.
