Good Content: A Genuine Content Strategy for the Reluctant Marketer
"There's a sucker born every minute"- Marketing Executives, Man...Thankfully, the free flow of digital information threatens the world's supply of 'suckers, ' and that's fantastic news. As a human with Internet access, your search request puts every big brand, solo blogger, little startup, and rising social media star on an even playing field. The wide variety among search results and social media posts helps you filter the authentic from the awful. And if you are capable of doing that, so are your customers. If you're tired of competing for attention with gimmicks, writing content that oversells, or pitching yourself as the '#1' solution at all times, you've come to the right place. This book provides a content strategy that places the reader first. As a reader of content yourself, you search the Internet for high-quality objective information, not sales pitches. This strategy helps you design information for your potential customers, lead them to your business, and once they've converted, nurture that relationship. The Good Content strategy accomplishes those goals by dividing content into 3 familiar funnels: - Top: Here your content serves the reader's needs, helps them, entertains them, and does so with little or no branding. This stage earns their respect and builds their trust.- Middle: Interested readers dig deeper to discover more. This content engages them by writing from their prospective and the benefits they receive from you and your business.- Post: After the reader converts to a paying customer, you serve them personalized content that enriches their experience and grows the relationship.Along the way, you maximize content potential by studying metrics and data at every step.## This Strategy Is Not for Everyone- Good Content requires candor; some find it difficult to write truthfully- Good Content requires you respect and acknowledge your competitors; not all feel able or ready to do so- Good Content demands that you support your decisions with data; some find the idea of analytics, keyword research, and funnel optimizations dauntingBut if you're more than prepared to handle those requirements, read on.## Inside The Book- A top-to-bottom content strategy that builds trust, leads, and respect- 3 exercises to help you generate content ideas at every stage- High-level writing tips to keep your content engaging and honest- Brief introductions to Google Analytics, Search Engine Optimization, Content Management Systems, Keyword Research, and more- An overview of off-site and on-site metrics that help you measure your content's performance- Index of necessary tools and skills required to implement the strategy- A thorough glossary of definitions- Bonus: an exclusive PDF print-out for readers## Not Inside The Book- Step-by-step tutorials for Google Analytics, WordPress, Search Console, or any other tool-this is a high-level text about content and content strategies## What People Are Saying About Good Content"A thoroughly entertaining guide to content marketing"- F. Digital Content and Distance Sales
Digital Content & Distance Sales analyses three legal instruments proposed by the European Commission in the context of its Digital Single Market Strategy, which has recently become one of its priorities. The proposed instruments are: (1) a directive for the supply of digital content; (2) a directive for the online and other distance sales of goods; and (3) a regulation on cross-border portability of online content services in the internal market. This book takes a combined approach of setting out the broader legislative and political context of the proposed legal instruments, giving the reader a general overview of the background and subsequent impact of the proposals, and indepth analyses of specific aspects, advantages and challenges. Through this approach, the authors offer valuable insight into key areas of legal development. This book will be useful to academics and practitioners working in contract law, particularly European contract law.

You should be familiar with Unity and C# scripting but you'll be able to jump in and start learning PCG straightaway. What You Will Learn • Understand the theory of Procedural Content Generation • Learn the uses of Pseudo Random Numbers • Create reusable algorithm designs for PCG • Evaluate the data structures for PCG • Develop smaller games with larger amounts of content • Generate content instead of spending time designing every minute detail • Learn when and how to add PCG to your game • Learn the fundamental techniques of PCG In Detail Procedural Content Generation is a process by which game content is developed using computer algorithms, rather than through the manual efforts of game developers. This book teaches readers how to develop algorithms for procedural generation that they can use in their own games. These concepts are put into practice using C# and Unity is used as the game development engine. This book provides the fundamentals of learning and continued learning using PCG. You'll discover the theory of PCG and the mighty Pseudo Random Number Generator. Random numbers such as die rolls and card drafting provide the chance factor that makes games fun and supplies spontaneity. This book also takes you through the full development of a 2D game. Starting with level generation, you'll learn how PCG can make the game environment for you. You'll move into item generation and learn the different techniques to procedurally create game items. Thereafter, you'll be guided through the more abstract PCG areas such as scaling difficulty to the player and even generating music! The book helps you set up systems within your games where algorithms create computationally generated levels, art assets, quests, stories, characters, and weapons; these can substantially reduce the burden of manually creating every aspect of the game. Finally, you'll get to try out your new PCG skills on 3D terrain generation. Style and approach An easy-to-follow, project-based guide that will let you build a complete game by the end of the book using PCG.
Procedural Content Generation for C++ Game Development
Get to know techniques and approaches to procedurally generate game content in C++ using Simple and Fast Multimedia Library About This Book • This book contains a bespoke Simple and Fast Multimedia Library (SFML) game engine with complete online documentation • Through this book, you'll create games that are non-predictable and dynamic and have a high replayability factor • Get a breakdown of the key techniques and approaches applied to a real game. Who This Book Is For If you are a game developer who is familiar with C++ and is looking to create bigger and more dynamic games, then this book is for you. The book assumes some prior experience with C++, but any intermediate concepts are clarified in detail. No prior experience with SFML is required. What You Will Learn • Discover the systems and ideology that lie at the heart of procedural systems • Use Random number generation (RNG) with C++ data types to create random but controlled results • Build levels procedurally with randomly located items and events • Create dynamic game objects at runtime • Construct games using a component-based approach • Assemble non-predictable game events and scenarios • Operate procedural generation to create dynamic content fast and easily • Generate game environments for endless replayability In Detail Procedural generation is a growing trend in game development. It allows developers to create games that are bigger and more dynamic, giving the games a higher level of replayability. Procedural generation isn't just one technique, it's a collection of techniques and approaches that are used together to create dynamic systems and objects. C++ is the industry-standard programming language to write computer games. It's at the heart of most engines, and is incredibly powerful. SFML is an easy-to-use, cross-platform, and open-source multimedia library. Access to computer hardware is broken into succinct modules, making it a great choice if you want to develop cross-platform games with ease. Using C++ and SFML technologies, this book will guide you through the techniques and approaches used to generate content procedurally within game development. Throughout the course of this book, we'll look at examples of these technologies, starting with setting up a roguelike project using the C++ template. We'll then move on to using RNG with C++ data types and randomly scattering objects within a game map. We will create simple console examples to implement in a real game by creating unique and randomised game items, dynamic sprites, and effects, and procedurally generating game events. Then we will walk you through generating random game maps. At the end, we will have a retrospective look at the project. By the end of the book, not only will you have a solid understanding of procedural generation, but you'll also have a working roguelike game that you will have extended using the examples provided. Style and approach This is an easy-to-follow guide where each topic is explained clearly and thoroughly through the use of a bespoke example, then implemented in a real game project.
Regulating Content on Social Media
How are social media users influenced by platform when creating content, and does this influence determine whether or not they comply with copyright laws? These are pressing questions in today's internet age, and Regulating Content on Social Media answers them by analyzing social media use from a copyright perspective. Corinne Tan compares the regulation of copyright laws across selected social media platforms--Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, and Wikipedia--with other regulatory factors such as the terms of service and the technological features of each platform. This comparison enables her to explore how each platform affects the role copyright laws play in securing compliance from their users. Through empirical research and a hypothetical case study detailing the social media activities of user Jane Doe, the book argues that, in spite of copyright laws' purported regulation, users are encouraged by the social media platforms themselves to behave in ways that may be inconsistent with the law. The first book to look at how social media platforms affect users' compliance with copyright laws, Regulating Content on Social Media is a timely addition to the current media landscape.

Investigating Content and Language Integrated Learning
This book provides a rich and unique longitudinal account of content and language integrated learning (CLIL). The chapters report on the findings from a large-scale, three-year research project undertaken at senior high school level in Sweden. The ecological perspective, with quantitative and qualitative methods, gives voice to both learners and teachers, as well as being an excellent critical example of how such longitudinal research might be carried out. Through emic and etic approaches, the book provides insights into language learning outcomes, both with regard to the target language English and the majority language Swedish; learner motivation among CLIL and non-CLIL students; effects of extramural exposure to English; issues in relation to assessment in CLIL and much more. As a whole, the book offers an unprecedented overview of learner outcomes and detailed insights into the comparison of CLIL and non-CLIL education. While it is embedded in the Swedish context, the nature of this study means that it has strong implications on an international basis.

Pastoral Theology is taught in secondary schools through the Christian Religious Studies (CRS) syllabus. The primary focus of this book is to present the theological content in the curriculum of CRS. It presents the actual content designed by educationists using the Nigerian model. This model has been discovered to be basically Christological in its approach. It is highly influenced by the historical influence of early Christian missionaries dating back to the 1500s and later structured after the English and Irish model before independence of many African countries. It shows why the teaching of CRS has stood the test of time within the various stages of the development of the secondary school syllabus. It proposes an African Theology of Education (ATE). It is linked with social Justice, public ethics and is closely connected with studying the Holy Bible.
Examining Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) Theories and Practices
The growing interest in the problems of integrated foreign language teaching and professional disciplines is manifested in the formulation of new concepts and approaches, which at the moment are controversial. The lack of a common conceptual framework of integrated education in the system of higher professional education in different countries manifests itself in the attempts of researchers to either completely eliminate the achievements of their colleagues in this area or, without any scientific and practical justification, mechanically transfer foreign experiences in their conditions. Examining Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) Theories and Practices is a cutting-edge research publication that investigates the different approaches and models of progressive technology within linguodidactics and the methodologies for teaching foreign languages. Highlighting a range of topics such as blended learning, cognition, and professional discourse, this book is essential for language teachers, linguists, curriculum developers, instructional designers, deans, researchers, practitioners, administrators, educators, academicians, and students.
