Already today more than 90% of all programmable processors are employed in embedded systems. This number is actually not surprising, contemplating that in a typical home you might find one or two PCs equipped with high of embedded systems, performance standard processors, but probably dozens including electronic entertainment, household, and telecom devices, each of them equipped with one or more embedded processors. Moreover, the elec tronic components of upper-class cars incorporate easily over one hundred pro cessors. Hence, efficient embedded processor design is certainly an area worth looking at. The question arises why programmable processors are so popular in embed ded system design. The answer lies in the fact that they help to narrow the gap between chip capacity and designer productivity. Embedded processors cores are nothing but one step further towards improved design reuse, just along the lines of standard cells in logic synthesis and macrocells in RTL synthesis in earlier times of IC design. Additionally, programmable processors permit to migrate functionality from hardware to software, resulting in an even improved reuse factor as well as greatly increased flexibility.

If you read one book on the Mona Lisa, let this be it. From the artwork to its theft and role in popular culture, The Thefts of the Mona Lisa provides the complete story, as written by a best-selling, Pulitzer finalist.Leonardo da Vinci’s portrait, called the Mona Lisa, is without doubt the world’s most famous painting. It achieved its fame not only because it is a remarkable example of Renaissance portraiture, created by an acclaimed artistic and scientific genius, but because of its criminal history. The Mona Lisa (also called La Gioconda or La Joconde) was stolen on 21 August 1911 by an Italian, Vincenzo Peruggia. Peruggia was under the mistaken impression that the Mona Lisa had been stolen from Italy during the Napoleonic era, and he wished to take back for Italy one of his country’s greatest treasures. His successful theft of the painting from the Louvre, the farcical manhunt that followed, and Peruggia’s subsequent trial in Florence were highly publicized, sparking the attention of the international media, and catapulting an already admired painting into stratospheric heights of fame. This book tells the art and criminal history of the Mona Lisa. This book examines the criminal biography of Leonardo’s Mona Lisa, with a focus on separating fact from fiction in the story of what is not only the most famous art heist in history, but which is the single most famous theft of all time. In the process this book also tells of Leonardo’s creation of the Mona Lisa, discusses why it is so famous, and investigates two other events in its history of theft and renown. First, it examines the so-called “affaire des statuettes,” in which Pablo Picasso and Guillaume Apollinaire were arrested under suspicion of involvement in the theft of the Mona Lisa. Second, there has long been a question as to whether the Nazis stole the Mona Lisa during the Second World War—a question that this book seeks to resolve.

I find pennies everyday and I think of my beloved sister Lisa daily. I started finding pennies when I was in a dark place because her death was so hard to believe. I couldn't believe that we were not going to grow old together. We were one year apart and she was the oldest. I wrote this book "A Penny for your thoughts" because it was about my journey while I was in that dark place and I wrote all of my thoughts down on paper so the book was unedited. Some days you couldn't understand what I was writing and other days you can totally understand what I was writing. This book wasn't meant to make sense it was to show how depressed I really was when I lost my sister. The book was filled every comma, period, run-on sentence, and every grammatical error there was in black and white. Those pages that I wrote on were filled with nothing but darkness and pain because I really thought I was going to lose my mind. Losing my sisters and my mother back to back was so hard to handle and to comprehend. The first year in 2013 I lost my younger sister Tracey, 2014 I lost my sister Cherrie, 2015 I lost my sister Lisa, and then 5 months later I lost my mother. It seemed like death was knocking on every one of my family members' doors every year. It was starting to become very overwhelming to process, but God had a ram in the bush. Just when I thought I couldn't overcome the loss of Lisa's death God stepped in and gave me a brand new beginning of unconditional love that I will never be able to explain. God restored my heart, my mind, my peace, and my soul by blessing me with my first grandchild that I call Jassu'. Jassu' keeps me happy, busy, and peaceful. Who would've thought that I would come across this beautiful gem while shopping in the store God directed my attention to the jewelry department and I found a penny necklace, I call that destiny. Thank you for always listening to me.
