Slow Cooking: 20 Low Carb Recipes It is well documented that reducing the amount of refined carbohydrates in your diet is a good way to support weight loss. We also know that it is healthier, cheaper and better for you to cook all of your meals from scratch, rather than relying on prepackaged food. But many people are too tired at the end of a working day to be able to come home, then face cooking a healthy evening meal, or may not have the time in the evenings to stand in the kitchen. The slow cooker is your solution to this problem. Not only can you prepare it in the morning, then set it on a timer to have a delicious hot meal ready and waiting for you when you come home, you can also use less popular cuts of meat and so save money. The long, low temperature that the slow cooker provides is perfect for cooking the more flavorful 'working joints' of meat. It is also naturally low in fat, since none is required for cooking - in fact, it is best to trim any excess fat from the meat before you start, as this will not drain off or brown as it would for more conventional cooking methods. Slow cookers are experiencing a boom in popularity, and it's not hard to see why. If you have one languishing at the back of a cupboard, it's time to dust it off and get cooking Download your E book " Slow Cooking: 20 Low Carb Recipes" by scrolling up and clicking "Buy Now with 1-Click" button

J'avais quitt l' cole polytechnique depuis quelque temps d j .
Life of Saint Cecilia, Virgin and Martyr

Life of Saint Cecilia, Virgin and Martyr

Prosper Guéranger

Saint Cecilia is among the first female Christian saints, being born in the Roman Empire during the early 3rd century AD. This is the story of her life, the discovery of her remains, and her veneration. This biography recounts the various tales surrounding Cecilia and her life in Ancient Rome. At a young age she found her calling: unceasing devotion to the Christian Lord. However Roman society was unsympathetic to her beliefs and piety, and she was betrothed against her will to a pagan. After her death at a young age, Cecilia's remains went undiscovered until the early 9th century. Their discovery, in pristine condition, was a cause for great celebration in Rome with Pope Paschal I leading the jubilations.Prosper Gu ranger's account of St. Cecilia is thorough, with plentiful context given to the history of Rome and the church. A frequent subject of paintings throughout the Medieval and Renaissance and eras, Saint Cecilia's name is commonly given to churches or educational establishments. Her story is still taught to this day, and the greatest monument to her life is in Rome: the Basilica di Santa Cecilia in Trastevere, now a museum open to the public.

The History of the Paris Commune of 1871

The History of the Paris Commune of 1871

Prosper-Olivier Lissagaray

Verso Books
2012
nidottu
In 1871, the working class of Paris, incensed by their lack of political power and tired of being exploited, seized control of the capital. This book is the outstanding history of the Commune, theheroic battles fought in its defence, and the bloody massacre that ended the uprising. Its author, Lissagaray, was a young journalist who not only saw the events recounted here first-hand, but fought for the Commune on the barricades. He spent the next twenty-five years researching and writing this history, which refutes the slanders levelled at the Communards by the ruling classes and is a vivid and valuable study in urban political revolution, one that retains its power to inspire to this day. This revised edition, translated by Eleanor Marx, includes a foreword by the writer and publisher Eric Hazan.

When the Basque dragoon Don José meets a Gypsy woman at the factory he is guarding, he is immediately ensnared by her wiles. After she is arrested for injuring a co-worker and he helps her to flee, he is imprisoned and demoted, but she repays him at their next meeting with a day of excess and a night of love. As Carmen continues to exert her spell, José is dragged further and further into a seedy world of smugglers, robbers, fiery passions and uncontrollable jealousy – one that he will find difficult to escape alive.Carmen, the archetype of the amoral femme fatale, is Prosper Mérimée’s highest creation, and a model for many subsequent literary heroines. First published in 1846, this story of crime and desire – here accompanied by another famous novella by Mérimée, The Venus of Ille – has been adapted into a number of dramatic works, including the famous 1875 opera of the same name by Georges Bizet.
Control Freak: Robert Mugabe: The History, The Quotes & The Drama
Robert Mugabe: The History, The Quotes, The DramaThis book is an in-depth look at Robert Mugabe, the man, the president and the dictator. The book shares his life from childhood and his life as a teacher, before he joined politics. Later on, he decides to join politics and faces a lot of challenges, finally getting arrested and staying in prison for about a decade. The book shows how, even in prison, he managed to retain control of his political party, as well as organise the guerrilla war. Furthermore, the book shades more light on his two biggest threats, Ian Smith and Morgan Tsvangirai. We get to see how this man, once viewed as a hero all over Africa, turned into the worst dictator of all time. Readers will also get to see how Grace Mugabe, his second wife, contributed to his great fall from the throne. In preparation for his burial, his body was repatriated to Zimbabwe accompanied by the Vice President Kembo Mohadi alongside his powerful delegation from Singapore. Also, a press release from the government expressly stated that all intending Heads of State/Government were not expected to stay in Zimbabwe for more than 24 hrs.As preparations were in top gear for the late past president, barely three days to the intended ceremony, the family released a report stating that they were not consulted before making the burial plans hence the burial will not hold as schedule.Although the lying-in state was held at the National stadium named in honour of him, details about the burial are yet to be made available to the public. Quotes.....- "Whеn one's goat gets miѕѕing, the aroma оf a neighbor's soup gеtѕ suspicious."- Trеаt еvеrу part оf уоur tоwеl niсеlу because the part that wiреѕ your buttосkѕ tоdау will wiре уоur fасе tоmоrrоw.- We аrе living in a gеnеrаtiоn where реорlе "in love" аrе frее tо tоuсh еасh others' рrivаtе раrtѕ but cannot tоuсh еасh оthеrѕ' рhоnеѕ because they're "рrivаtе." Full text.Carmen, M rim e's classic tale of passion and power, provided the inspiration for one of the world's most enduringly popular operas, and numerous films.According to a letter M rim e wrote to the Countess of Montijo, Carmen was inspired by a story she told him on his visit to Spain in 1830. He said, "It was about that ruffian from M laga who had killed his mistress, who consecrated herself exclusively to the public...As I have been studying the Gypsies for some time, I have made my heroine a Gypsy."

d104e int gral.Carmen, histoire espagnole?
