The Nurses' Occupational Stress Scale was created and validated; and a diverse knowledge of nurses' occupational stress and alcohol consumption was obtained. No statistically significant relationship was found between these two entities: neither does alcohol consumption influence the level of professional stress, nor does the level of professional stress influence alcohol consumption.
