Inspired by Andrew who is on the spectrum, this first book in the "Andrew's World" series is about grocery shopping. Elizabeth and her sister Barbara, who has a PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis, realized how difficult it was for Elizabeth to find books for her son Andrew. None had characters that resembled him or appealed to his literal world view. Elizabeth and Barbara thought, "Why not create a series of books based on social stories for kids on the spectrum?" These stories are intended to prepare children on the spectrum for the life experiences, transitions, emotions, environments, and skills. With these books, a child can curl up with a loved one and learn about upcoming events in an enjoyable way through Andrew's lens of the world. Andrew's actions and reactions will provide a behavior model for other children to learn from, and the Skills Checklists will help adults work with them to apply what they learned. As they advance and gain more skills, this book and Skills Checklist can grow with them.

This monograph studies how, across the Folio of 1681, Marvell's poems engage not merely with different kinds of loss and aspiration, but with experiences of both that were, in mid-seventeenth-century England, disturbingly new and unfamiliar. It particularly examines Marvell's preoccupation with the search for home, and with redefining the homeland, in times of civil upheaval. In doing so it traces his progression from being a poet who plays sophisticatedly with received myth to being one who is a national mythmaker in rivalry with his poetic contemporaries such as Waller and Davenant. Although focusing primarily on poems in the Folio of 1681, this book considers those poems in relation to others from the Marvell canon, including the Latin poems and the satires from the reign of Charles II. It closely considers them as well in relation to verse by poets from the classical past and the European, especially English, present.

Politically shrewd but fatally unable to adapt to new political realities, Andrew Johnson presided, disastrously, over the tumultuous first years of Reconstruction. In this provocative account, Hans Trefousse gives us "a brilliant, compassionate portrait of a dynamic era of social change and national healing, and of the tragic failure of an American leader" (Library Journal).

The Feltons are a family with a long lineage stretching back beyond the Norman Conquest. They now have a daughter, Ianthe, but prior to her birth Tobias, or Toby, was fostered and then adopted as their heir after he had miraculously survived the sinking of a refugee ship by a German U-Boat. Then, someone who is clearly Toby's twin turns up as an under-gardener. He had been fostered by a Scottish couple, now dead. There is now general and disturbed confusion on everyone's part - including the boys themselves. Stewart explores magnificently the nature of the complicated relationships, including those from outside of the family such as Toby's lover; the irony of the situation; and the many ramifications of class and culture in the absurd situation the characters find themselves.
