Progress toward the full publication of the Nuzi archives in the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East has moved forward again with the publication of this volume. Dr. Morrison’s study of the Eastern Archives combines both archaeological and philological data bringing order to the organization of the Eastern Archives and showing how they might have been grouped originally when excavated. She suggests, furthermore, additional avenues of research to follow in the analysis of other segments of the Nuzi archives. The second part of the late E. R. Lacheman’s Excavations at Nuzi, volume 9 is also published in this volume. Texts selected for publication were chosen to coordinate with Morrison’s study. In addition to a catalog of the texts, over 240 pages of hand copies are presented, many for the first time.

Using a unique and ground-breaking approach that combines religion with American history, these four authors masterfully present a thoroughly researched and captivating account of fifty-two inspirational stories of America's exceptionalism intricately woven with God's truths. Each story connects the life-giving honesty of the American people with a life-shaping application from the gospel. Individuals interested in the history of the United States or Christianity and looking for an overarching account of what unites us as Americans and believers will be enthralled by these inspiring stories of struggles and triumphs. We are not the light, just the reflection if we stand close enough to the Source. The further we move away from God's will for our lives, the more we stumble in the dark. But as believers we know there is an all-powerful force that will lift us up and help us to walk in the light. The goal of God's Reflections: Biblical Insight from America's Story is to draw Christians closer to the light source, so they can radiate brighter in their service to God and their country and be part of the greatest rescue mission of all: making disciples for Jesus Christ
Hellfire and Destruction

To those of us who believe in the inspiration and authority of the Bible, it must surely be a concern to know what it says will happen to the millions around us, some of whom we love dearly, who die without repentance or faith. Does Scripture teach that at the last judgment those who remain unrepentant will be consigned to an unending existence of torment without hope? Is that truly what Jesus and his apostles believed and taught? This book presents basic evidence that what they really taught was that the final judgmental end for such people will be "destruction," taking its obvious meaning that they will cease to exist as conscious individuals. The arguments are not complex, because most of the New Testament writers make plain statements to this effect. The book also looks at those parables and Revelation passages sometimes taken to indicate unending torment. It links with academic works that in increasing numbers are making the same points, but the book is not a contribution to academic scholarship. Rather, it is a careful, readable, and accessible account to challenge pastors, church leaders, and Christians generally to consider what the Bible actually says rather than rely on tradition.

An image rich, passage-by-passage commentary that integrates textual and artifactual context from the ancient Near East to inform our understanding and interpretation of the Hebrew Bible—while remaining respectful to the inerrancy of Scripture. In 1990, under the direction of Ernest Boyer, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching published a classic report on the loss of a meaningful basis for true community on college campuses—and in the nation. Now this expanded edition of Campus Life: In Search of Community reintroduces educational leaders to the Boyer report's proposals while offering up-to-date analysis and recommendations for Christian campuses today. Editors Drew Moser and Todd C. Ream have assembled pairs of academic and student-development leaders from top Christian colleges to offer a hopeful update on the practical contributions of Christian higher education to the practice of community. This volume includes new chapters, the long out-of-print Boyer report in its entirety, and a discussion guide to facilitate team conversations. Higher education now stands at a critical point, yet the contributors to this expanded edition of Campus Life see current challenges as an opportunity to revive Boyer’s commitment to its formative power. Contributors include: Mark L. Sargent and Edee Schulze of Westmont CollegeRandall Basinger and Kris Hansen-Kieffer of Messiah CollegeBrad Lau and Linda Samek of George Fox UniversityStephen T.
