His marriage is on the rocks, and his only friends seem to be his son John and their loyal dog, Peggy. After he is fired from his lucrative job on Wall Street, he finds himself in a local bookstore where he happens upon a mysterious book titled Hidden Treasure on Island Eight that is missing its final chapter. Jolly, the bookstore owner, tells him that the author was killed before finishing the book. Then Leo decides to do something drastic. With his estranged wife away in Miami and his son visiting, Leo decides to take a trip to Hawaii so he can find the mysterious "Island Eight" in the book. Before long, the duo is landing in Hawaii and getting ready for an adventure. Strangely, however, no one seems to have heard of Island Eight. Island Eight finds them, however. During a boat ride, a sudden, powerful storm overtakes their boat, sending both Leo and John into the water. They awaken on the beautiful and mysterious Island Eight. Shortly thereafter, Leo learns a big secret of his parents who were passed away 30 years ago, and Leo and John make a fascinating discovery - they have been expected for 30 years. His arrival was foretold, and only he can recover a magical chest from Nelly, who has since taken over the island. Leo and John set out for Nelly's castle to save the island, accompanied by the beautiful islander Vivian and several warriors. The quest is a dangerous one, however. The adventure takes them through the jungle, the castle and into the air as they chase down Nelly and his soldiers in search of the treasure. In the end, Leo must face his darkest fears before he is able to open the chest and release the power to save the island and finish its destiny. But his darkest fears stay with him, and Nelly is about to kill him...
