जी '2020 की नुमाइंदा ग़ज़लें' के संपादन के दौरान एक से बढ़कर एक ख़ूबसूरत ग़ज़लों की चाँदनी में नहाने और विभिन्न बहरों की धूप में मन सुखाने का मौक़ा मिला। बचपन में जब रेडियो पर दिलकश आवाज़ में रोमांटिक गीत सुनने में मगन रहता था तब नहीं पता था कि नग़्मानिगारों को ऐसे गीत लिखने के लिए कितनी परेशानियों से गुज़रना पड़ता होगा। गीत सुनने के साथ ही सपने बुनने भी शुरू हो गये। बहर की बाक़ायदा तालीम तो आज तक नहीं पा सका लेकिन रेख़्ता और गूगल के दौर में ज़रूरी जानकारियाँ आत्मसात करता रहा। जी में आया क्यों नहीं चुनिन्दा बहरों में दोस्तों को ग़ज़ल कहने की ज़हमत-ए-सुख़न दूँ। तरही मुशायरे तो पहले से होते आये हैं। इन पर अभ्यास करने से शे'र कहने की सलाहियत में निखार आता है। कुछ लोग परेशान भी हो जाते हैं। अनेक नामवर शायरों ने किसी के मिसरा-ए-तरह पर ग़ज़ल कहने में अपने मेयार की तौहीन समझी। कुछ ने कहा कि वे तरही ग़ज़ल नहीं कहते तब मैंने उस्ताद-ए-मरहूम हफ़ीज़ बनारसी के मिसरा-ए-तरह पर तरही ग़ज़ल कहने की दावत-ए-सुख़न देने के साथ-साथ निम्न 4 सालिम बहरों का इन्तख़ाब किया ।

In addition to offering close formal analyses of most of Shahid's poems and poetry collections, the contributors also situate him in relation to both Western and subcontinental poetic forms, particularly the ghazal. Many also offer personal anecdotes that convey the milieu in which the poet lived and wrote, as well as his personal preoccupations. The book concludes with the poet's 1997 interview with Suvir Kaul, which appears in print here for the first time.

Mais lui, les larmes aux yeux, a dit: Un jour, alors que j' tais assis ici, mon petit-fils est venu me voir et m'a dit: On dit que le martyr Maghfouri r pond ses besoins.
Il martire e studioso El-Hadj Ali Mekki considerato uno dei martiri della gloriosa rivoluzione algerina, che cost la vita a un milione e mezzo di martiri. Studi , pace all'anima sua, alla zaou a (scuola coranica) dell'Ouled Cheikh Boudouad (Daoud Eddine), poi and alla zaou a dello sceicco Ben Ali Cherif a Djebel 'Chlatha', ad Akbou, e quindi a quella dello sceicco Mohamed Abou-El-kacem (El-Hamel) per studiare diritto islamico (giurisprudenza) e teologia (monoteismo). Ha conseguito il diploma di giurista specializzato in giurisprudenza e monoteismo, in particolare in materia di eredit e obblighi religiosi, e ha poi lavorato come impiegato presso la Dar Ouled Sidi Sheikh Ben El Nadhir (Bousaada). Lavor a lungo anche come insegnante e sollecit la costruzione di scuole, alcune delle quali furono realizzate con i suoi fondi personali. Viaggi in molte parti del Paese e complet il pellegrinaggio nel 1935. Martyr and scholar El-Hadj Ali Mekki is considered one of the martyrs of the glorious Algerian revolution, which claimed the lives of one and a half million martyrs. He studied, may God rest his soul, at the Ouled Cheikh Boudouad (Daoud Eddine) zaou a (Koranic school), then went to the zaou a of Sheikh Ben Ali Cherif in Djebel "Chlatha", Akbou, then to that of Sheikh Mohamed Abou-El-kacem (El-Hamel) to study Islamic law (jurisprudence) and theology (Monotheism). He graduated as a jurist specializing in jurisprudence and monotheism, particularly in matters of inheritance and religious obligations, then worked as an employee in the Dar Ouled Sidi cheikh Ben El Nadhir (Bousaada). He also worked as a teacher for a long time and called for the construction of schools, some of which were built with his personal funds. He traveled to many parts of the country and completed the pilgrimage in 1935. During his journey, he met eminent scholars such as Za m El-Husseini.influenced by Imam Abdelhamid Ben Badis and his cause
