You've said, "I Do," and you are married. So what's next, and where's happily-ever-after? T.N. Carpenter's humorous tall tales and personal short stories about marriage will assure you that you are not alone when facing the better, the worse, and the inevitably crazy times that married couples can experience throughout their marriage, and especially during the newlywed years. You will see that when there are ups and downs along the way to happily-ever-after, sometimes, you just have to be creative and have a sense of humor.T.N. Carpenter's seriocomic account of her first years of marriage illustrates how despite all the challenges that married couples can face, it is possible to still remain in love and committed to your marriage. And, it is even possible to find happily-ever-after.

A Short History of Persian Literature

A Short History of Persian Literature

This is a seminal book, first published in 1961. Over the past six decades, T.N. Devare's work has been widely recognised as a pioneering study to re-discover the glorious heritage of Persian in the Deccan, following the first comprehensive and critical survey completed by the author of Persian manuscript sources and literary works scattered across numerous libraries, archives and repositories in India and abroad. The book convincingly argues that, the Deccan’s multilingual and multi-religious traditions shaped the evolution of Indo-Persian and produced over nearly four centuries, a distinct literary and cultural world marked by a syncretic character which defied social, political or religious boundaries. The author also makes the case for collaboration between Persian and the regional languages of India, particularly Marathi. It is the rich legacy of Persian in the Deccan Courts with their vast treasures of literature that is preserved in Dr Devare’s work. The book has been regarded and continues to remain a foundational text for studying the Deccan, be it in the field of history, literature or culture. Please note: Taylor & Francis does not sell or distribute the Hardback in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka

From the #1 Essence bestselling author of Sheisty and Still Sheisty, Dice is the explosive novel of a man who might just lose his greatest love after playing the wrong game. Wasuan Wells has two loves--one is his beautiful girl of two years, Enychi Carter, and the other is his love for dice. Rollin' dice is an everyday hustle for Wasuan, and he's one of the best the hood has ever seen. No one can defeat him. That is, until he stumbles across a dude from the same hood named Tone who has just as much confidence, a little too much mouth, lots of cash to back it up, and a strong desire for Wasuan's girl. When Wasuan is challenged and the stakes grow high, he finds himself caught out in deeper waters than he can swim in, with Tone dangling three options: pay up, take your last breath, or sacrifice something much greater...his girl, Enychi. But when Enychi agrees to spend one night with Tone in order to save her man's life, she finds herself caught up in an unwilling love triangle like the streets have never known. Love, betrayal, lies, sex and money are just the beginning in this scandalous tale, where loyalties are put to the ultimate test. In this new novel, T. N. Baker takes the term "sheisty" to a whole new level.

This book is designed as an introductory course in Tropical Meteorology for the graduate or advanced level undergraduate student. The material within can be covered in a one-semester course program. The text starts from the global scale-view of the Tropics, addressing the zonally symmetric and asymmetric features of the tropical circulation. It then goes on to progressively smaller spatial and time scales – from the El Niño Southern Oscillation and the Asian Monsoon, down to tropical waves, hurricanes, sea breezes, and tropical squall lines. The emphasis in most chapters is on the observational aspects of the phenomenon in question, the theories regarding its nature and maintenance, and the approaches to its numerical modeling. The concept of scale interactions is also presented as a way of gaining insight into the generation and redistribution of energy for the maintenance of oscillations of a variety of spatial and temporal scales.

The First Asilomar Conference on Electron- and Photon-Molecule Collisions was held August 1-4, 1978 in Pacific Grove, California. This meeting brought together forty scientists who are actively involved in theoretical studies of electron scattering by, and photoionization of, small molecules. In this volume, are collected the contributions of the invited speakers, as well as the roundtable and evening discussions condensed from taped recordings of the entire proceedings. The subject matter reflects current activity in the field and describes many of the techniques that are being developed and applied to molecular collision problems. We would like to thank the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR) for providing the financial support that made this conference possible. Special thanks are due to Dr. Robert Junker of ONR and Dr. Ralph Kelley of AFOSR for the interest and encouragement they provided in all phases of this meeting. We also thank all the participants whose efforts and contributions made this conference a success. Finally, we thank Ms. Charlotte MacNaughton and Ms. Sara Jackson for the many hours they spent transcribing tapes and preparing this volume for publication.
Ancient Rings

Ancient finger rings made of base metals and low-grade silver alloys are increasingly being unearthed and sold through a growing assortment of marketplaces worldwide. Reference material on ancient rings has focused mainly on historic and "high-end" pieces--the precious metals and stones of royalty and the wealthy--while little has been written on the evaluation of common rings. This guide describes their composition, structure and imagery, thus providing merchants, collectors and researchers with a comprehensive reference on these ancient artifacts that, until now, have gone unexamined.
The Art of Medieval Jewelry

The Art of Medieval Jewelry

What are the origins of the imagery and designs on common jewelry and portable artwork between late antiquity and the Middle Ages? These dynamic centuries encompass the transformation of the Greco-Roman world into the nascent kingdoms and medieval states upon which most modern European nations are based. The choices of jewelry and other forms of personal expression among the lower classes in ancient times is notoriously difficult to contextualize for a number of reasons. Nonetheless, these precious articles were expressions of individual identity as well as signifiers of rites of passage. As such, they reflect not only the people who wore them, but also the social milieu and artistic trends at that moment in time. This new study assists in identifying the types, origins and routes of transmission of personal artwork, particularly finger rings, across Europe and Byzantium, an area of study that has been neglected in previous works. Some of this material represents the first time relevant research from Central and Eastern Europe has been translated and made available to the general reader in the English-speaking world.
