Stig Skyhøj er 'FAR' til nisserne. Han er født i 1932 i Oppe Sundby og opvokset i Lyngby, men flyttede i 1962 til Helsingør. Han blev undervist hos billedhuggeren Isenstein på Charlottenborg i nogle år,hvorefter han sammen med sin hustru, Alma Musse åbnede en antikvitets-forretning i Helsingør, hvor de første figurer blev udstillet i butiksvinduet. Det var her tale om figurer til et skak-spil med svenske-krigen som motiv, og som efterfølgende blev solgt til Skakhuset i København. Der blev derefter fremstillet skakspil med motiver fra borgerkrigen i USA, den franske revolution, og krigen i 1864. ét spil blev i Danmark, idet Simon Spies satte sig på det ene, resten blev solgt til USA. Ved juletid lavede han nisser til udstilling i sin butik. Disse blev omgående solgt, og flere af køberne bestilte derefter nisser til levering i de efterfølgende år. Nogle af disse købere får stadigvæk nisser hvert år. Familien flyttede deres virksomhed til Horserød i 1965, med Horserød Hegn som nærmeste nabo, Stig Skyhøj har siden haft sin daglige gang i Horserød Hegn, derfor titlen Den Horserød Nisse Alle nisser er fremstillet i hånden af rødler. Brændt i egen ovn. Alma Musse har malet og dekoreret. En del af nisserne har været udstillet i Helsingør, flere gange på Marienlyst Slot og Helsingør Bymuseum, samt været i TV som pausesignal. P. J. Andersen har skrevet vers til nisserne. Han er født i Gentofte i 1937 og rejste i 1965 til Grønland. Efter ca. 39 år i Grønland til Kerteminde i 2004. Digtningen startede med lejligheds- og julesange. Derefter julehilsner til familie og venner. Peter Andersen fik ideen, at det kunne være morsomt at lave en bog om hans svogers nisser. Dels for at nisserne ikke skulle blive glemt og dels for at holde liv i digte i Danmark. Med det håb at det vil glæde voksne at læse for børn og børn kan få glæde af at læse den for deres forældre. Nisser har været kendt i mange generationer, spørg blot dine forældre, dine bedsteforældre, dine oldeforældre eller...

In recent writings on Marx one finds an increasing interest in his humanism. This phenomenon began in the third decade of our century as a reaction against the mechanistic and stereotyped image of Marx 1 characteristic of the Second International and of Stalinism. Lukacs, in History and Class Consciousness (1923), was one of the first to discover this new Marx, and he did so even before the most important 2 of the humanistic writings of the young Marx had been discovered. With the publication ofthese writings in 1932 - namely, the Economic 3 and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 - this new outlook was given enormous impetus. In these Manuscripts, Marx makes the human being the creator and the goal of alI reality. The objectification of the human essence through labor transforms both society and nature. Labor transforms its wor1d into a place which mirrors, unfolds, and confirms the human being. This humanism is a complex and many-faceted issue. In this book we will be concerned only with a certain part of it, i.e., the epistemology, method, and doctrine of nature which it involves. Other aspects of it - Marx' concept of alienation and his theory of labor and the state -have 4 been dealt with elsewhere.

However, the "tree" of knowledg~ of mathematics and related fields does not grow only by putting forth new branches. It also ·happens, quite often in fact, that branches which were thought to be completely disparate are suddenly seen to be related. Further, the ~d and level of sophistication of mathematics applied in various sciences has changed drastically in recent years: measure theory is used (non-trivially) in regional and theoretical economics; algebraic geometry interacts with physics; the Minkowsky lemma, coding theory and the structure of water meet one another in packing and covering theory; quantum fields, crystal defects and mathematical programming profit from homotopy theory; Lie algebras are relevant to filtering; and prediction and electrical engineering can use Stein spaces. And in addition to this there are such new emerging subdisciplines as "experimental mathematics", "CFD", "completely integrable systems", "chaos, synergetics and large-scale order", which are almost impossible to fit into the existing classification schemes. They draw upon widely different sections of mathematics.

In de huisartsgeneeskunde zijn klachten met betrekking tot de luchtwegen zeer belangrijk, omdat ze in praktisch alle leeftijdsgroepen tot de meest gep- senteerde klachten behoren. Niet alleen de acute, maar vooral de chronische pulmonale klachten vragen in de huisartspraktijk veel aandacht en dat zal in de toekomst zo blijven, zo blijkt uit het rapport Volksgezondheid Toekomst Verk- ning 2006. Wel wordt in dit rapport een trendverandering voorzien. Bij een - latief stabiele totale zorglast voor rookgerelateerde aandoeningen als COPD en longkanker zal er een afname plaatsvinden onder mannen, maar wordt er een sterke toename onder vrouwen verwacht. Behalve kennis over de ac htergrond van chronische longafwijkingen, moeten zowel de medicamenteuze als de niet-medicamenteuze behandelmethoden in de huisartspraktijk veel aandacht krijgen. Het is niet voor niets dat het NHG via de Standaarden over luchtwegaandoeningen richtlijnen heeft geformuleerd die de huisarts behulpzaam zijn bij diagnostiek, behandeling en follow-up van patienten met chronische longaandoeningen zoals astma en COPD. In dit boek wordt ook aandacht besteed aan meer acute klachten met de daarbij behorende differentiele diagnostiek en besliskundige problemen waarmee de huisarts wordt geconfronteerd."
