The second edition of this book has been written for the same audience as the first edition. It is designed to be a "first port of call" for people wishing to study efficiency and productivity analysis. The book provides an accessible introduction to the four principal methods involved: econometric estimation of average response models; index numbers; data envelopment analysis (DEA); and stochastic firontier analysis (SFA). For each method, we provide a detailed introduction to the basic concepts, give some simple numerical examples, discuss some of the more important extensions to the basic methods, and provide references for further reading. In addition, we provide a number of detailed empirical applications using real-world data. The book can be used as a textbook or as a reference text. As a textbook, it probably contains too much material to cover in a single semester, so most instructors will want to design a course around a subset of chapters. For example, Chapter 2 is devoted to a review of production economics and could probably be skipped in a course for graduate economics majors. However, it should prove useful to undergraduate students and those doing a major in another field, such as business management or health studies.

Floderna, dessa varelser som har levt och formats i så många olika världar, talar till mig och säger att om vi kan tänka oss en framtid så är den urtida, eftersom den redan är här. Och jag tror att alla varelser som vi kan föreställa oss som framtida är våra samtida reskamrater, även de som är oförglömliga och kommer från förr i tiden. En la actualidad el medio ambiente construido es uno de los mayores generadores de Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI) en el mundo, causantes del cambio clim tico. Estos gases est n ntimamente relacionados con el consumo energ tico generado en el interior de las edificaciones destinado a brindar confort t rmico a sus ocupantes. Al tener construcciones en climas con temperaturas extremas, el confort se vuelve dif cil de alcanzar dado que hay mucha transferencia de calor entre el interior y exterior de las construcciones, la cual se realiza a trav s de la envolvente de la vivienda. Esta transferencia de temperatura no se da igual por todos los elementos de la envolvente, si no que se encuentran ciertas zonas, que, por sus caracter sticas f sicas, son m s propensas a transmitir el calor. Estas zonas se denominan puentes t rmicos. Este libro muestra el resultado de un trabajo cuyo objetivo fue identificar por medio de im genes termogr ficas los principales puentes t rmicos en una construcci n, antes y despu s de una intervenci n, con la finalidad de determinar si las modificaciones tuvieron un impacto positivo en su aparici n.

Die M glichkeiten f r die Anwendung der Konstruierbarkeit bei Wohnungsbauprojekten werden mit Hilfe eines nicht-probabilistischen Stichprobenverfahrens durch die Anwendung eines Fragebogens auf Bauarbeiter, die verschiedene T tigkeiten aus ben, untersucht, um anschlie end durch die Zusammenstellung dieser Informationen eine Datenbank zu erstellen und eine statistische Analyse durchzuf hren. Als Ergebnis ist festzustellen, dass in den meisten F llen die formalen Konstruierbarkeitswerkzeuge und -programme nicht genutzt werden, weil sie nicht kontinuierlich und gewohnheitsm ig angewandt werden, was in vielen F llen durch das fehlende Wissen um die tats chliche Existenz dieser Werkzeuge und Programme beeinflusst wird, und dass nur einige ihrer Konstruierbarkeitsprinzipien gesehen werden, aber auf isolierte Weise.

This book shows the results of a study on the perception of the application of formal constructability tools and programs in housing construction projects by the personnel in charge of carrying them out, using an exploratory analysis as a basis for the study. The areas of opportunity for the application of constructability in housing construction projects are explored, proposing as a procedure to follow a non-probabilistic sampling through the application of a questionnaire to construction workers who develop different activities, to later establish a data base through the compilation of this information and to carry out a statistical analysis. As a result, it is observed that the tools and formal programs of constructability are not being used in most cases due to the lack of continuous and habitual application of them, influenced in many cases by the lack of knowledge of the real existence of these tools and programs and that only some of their principles of constructability are seen, but in an isolated manner.
