'Kathleen the Waif', as she had become known was revered throughout Brittan as the instigating inspiration for one of the World's largest Charities. 'White Angel' caring for the poor. Was she a Saint or a sinner? --- A prostitute or prude? The clues are in these pages, it's up to the reader to decide. She fled her childhood home at the age of sixteen after an attempted rape by her father. She prostituted herself for six months simply to survive. Her Father was charged with murder and suspected of being Jack the Ripper. A benefactor picked her up, they married and migrated to Australia where she bore three children, before her husband decided that he had alternative sexual urges. He eloped with his boyfriend, leaving her destitute. Her eldest daughter fell to paedophile Priests. KATP. Contains Rape, Murder, Paedophilia, Prostitution, Adultery, Mafia, Graft and Corruption. The other side of the ledger-record-- Tender love scenes, Joy, Happiness, Births, Achievements, and Wealth. Categorising this novel as an adult read. The waif had kept prostitution in her past secret, she was exposed on a trip to London and heralded as a heroine she was to be nominated for Canonisation. Which was debunked; whether fairly or unfairly, even the author can't decide. But readers of KATP will form their own opinion. The highs and lows of Kathleen the Waif story must be told.

This book offers the chance to (re)discover the remarkable work of Kathleen Raine, a twentieth-century British poet (1908–2003). Raine is the author of a major poetic oeuvre centred on her love of nature and her knowledge of Neoplatonism. She is also the author of an inspiring autobiography as well as a renowned scholar who wrote numerous essays on the English Romantics, William Blake, and Irish Nobel Prize winner W. B. Yeats. This collection contains twelve chapters written by scholars from the US and Europe, who focus on different aspects of Raine’s work: the importance of nature and the sacred, her philosophical commitment to a spiritual vision of man, her efforts to disseminate a form of perennial wisdom (the Sophia Perennis) through the Temenos Academy, and her concern with passing this wisdom on to young people. Raine’s powerful voice, which arose in a century that she deemed plunged in deadly materialism, will resonate today with new generations yearning for a meaningful world.

Kathleen and her mum and grandmother set about finding a First Holy Communion dress for Kathleen. Everyone means well but there are mini misunderstandings all around. Kathleen and her classmates are approaching this big event with excitement and a little anxiety too. Kathleen is worried that Jesus and her mum might have different ideas about Kathleen's dress. A lot of expectations are being put on one dress and Kathleen has to balance other peoples' ideas about the perfect dress with her own hopes and desires. This book takes a light-hearted look at the pressures that the modern Communion can put on families. There is a gentle message about the meaning of Communion and a warning against getting carried away with the (admittedly very enjoyable) commercial and superficial aspects.

Kathleen Ferrier has a reputation as the greatest lyric contralto of the twentiety century. Her story, from her humble beginnings as a telephone operator in Blackburn to the height of international fame as one of the world's leading concert artists and her untimely death at the age of forty-one, is told told with compelling insight and perception, using a variety of sources, from photographs, diaries, and private letters to the memoirs and recollections of those who knew her best. Despite having no formal musical training, Kathleen worked with all the celebrated conductors of the time, and is remembered for her performances of music by Brahms, Schubert and Mahler, as well as a handful of operatic roles. Enlarging considerably on many alternative biographies, this excellent account captures the warmth, humour and charm of a figure whose astonishing life and career proved to be, sadly, all too brief.

Several forged documents and one tall-tale later, Kathleen finds herself locked up at Lakeside Nursing Home, a run-down memory care facility run by a fake doctor with a criminal past. It's now up to Carol to find Kathleen before Tillie steals her home and her money.
Kathleen Ryan: Bad Fruit
Relics of the everyday as tongue-in-cheek allegories for sexuality and decadence New York–based sculptor Kathleen Ryan (born 1984) recasts found and handmade objects as spectacular, larger-than-life hieroglyphs of Americana. This book gathers her titular series of bejeweled, oversized moldy fruit sculptures.
Kathleen Ryan: Daisy Chain
With painstaking technique, painterly sensitivity to color and a biting sense of humor, Ryan’s sculpture suggests art’s capacity to both evoke and arrest the passage of time Taking the form of vintage decorative crafts that have been blown up to an imposing scale, New York–based artist Kathleen Ryan’s (born 1984) Bad Fruit series employs material irony and art historical tropes to play with expectation and desire. Ryan fashions decaying fruit from glittering beads, gemstones and found items, illustrating her fascination with “how objects bring meaning and carry a history.” Subverting expectations of value, synthetic acrylic and glass beads simulate glistening flesh, while clusters of semiprecious stones play the role of pathogens such as penicillium digitatum. The selection of work in this volume presents Ryan’s fruits alongside other large-scale models of evanescent vegetation, and ignites a sense of disorientation and mythic wonder through its materiality, scale and evocative power. This fully illustrated catalog features essays by Bob Nickas, Shannon Mattern and Heather Davis.

This is more an overview of my life than an in-depth analysis of it or of anyone who has been a part of my life. Though the telling is as I remember it, that does not mean it is the history as my family or friends may remember it. As with all humans, my memory is wrapped by my own experiences and is tinted by those lessons learned and those yet to be accepted. Since naivety, or at least believing in everyone I meet before judging them, has been my way of living, I chose the title of LIVING LIFE FULLY. I think that because Dad and most of my older relatives were always so pragmatic and overprotective, impressing on us all to mistrust everyone and especially those of the opposite sex, I tended to go the other way, to the detriment of my own pocketbook but to the advantage of having experiences I would not otherwise have enjoyed and some I wished I had missed. Though time and learned knowledge have agreed with their analyses of around 75% of my life, the remaining 25% has given me the freedom to feel young at my current age of 70, because I still see life as a learning experience without parameters of fear and distrust instead of love and caring.
