Happily married to the rich and handsome Hugo Bowland of Redstone Lodge, Hannah is convinced that she has everything and more than she could ever wish for until the past finds its way back into her life and she becomes haunted by childhood memories and secrets.Beneath the apple blossom tree follows the early life of Hannah, a young girl who at only a few days old, was abandoned outside the orphanage in Little-Orangewood. Set in the nineteenth century the story tells of well kept hidden secrets and the heartache of forbidden love between the barriers of social divide. Rescued from the impoverished orphanage, Hannah is adopted and given a golden opportunity to live a full and privileged life, but it is not a life without heartbreak and emotional upheavals. When Hannah's beau, Gilbert King, mysteriously vanishes from the village of Little-Orangewood where he teaches at the local school, contrary to her adoptive father's beliefs, that he has merely endeavoured on a hasty escape to avoid any premature marriage commitments, Hannah is convinced that there is a more sinister reason behind his disappearance. A family bereavement and a chain of events forces Hannah and her family to leave the village to embark on a new and very different style of life. Now unable to pursue Gilbert's whereabouts, he is left to face his dire circumstances alone and loses all contact with his first love.A spiteful and younger orphan who becomes consumed with jealousy when a chance meeting brings her face to face with Hannah is determined to take revenge for the fact that she has not been given the same prosperous opportunities. Her unforgivable behaviour has detrimental and long-lasting effects on the lives of many. Will Hannah ever be free from her closely guarded secret and find true happiness again and will Gilbert King ever find true happiness again?

The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty in China, which it ruled for 268 years. After rising to power in 1644, it managed to cling to power for the better part of three centuries until it was overthrown first in 1911, and finally in 1912 after a brief reprieve. Within the timeline of Chinese history, it follows the Ming Dynasty, which ruled China from 1368-1644, and precedes the formation of the Republic of China, which was formed in 1912 and lasted until Mao Zedong seized power in 1949. The Qing Dynasty is a period of Chinese history that is known for having had powerful rulers who each had long reigns. The period was one of prosperity for the country and its people, but it was also plagued with natural disasters, invasions by foreign armies, entanglements with foreign commercial interests, and rebellions from within its own borders that eventually brought the dynasty down, marking the end of imperial rule in China. Given all of the turmoil surrounding it, it is nothing short of astounding that the dynasty managed to keep power over such a vast, multicultural domain for as long as it did. The History of China's Qing Dynasty tells the story of how the last imperial rulers wielded power and kept various forces at bay for more than 250 years.

The past is her future, the future, her past, but can she save an innocent man's life before history repeats itself? As long as Selena Tillman dreams of her ancestor, Mary, who disappeared without a trace in 1871, she'll never find peace. As long as she dreams of the half-Native American army scout accused of killing Mary, she'll never find love. Hoping to end the dreams and learn the truth, Selena goes to Texas where Mary and the scout died and sees more than ghosts. She sees a tornado kill Mary in real time before it jumps to the twenty-first century to pull Selena into its vortex and send her back to the nineteenth century. Selena believes she's fated to prove Dylan's innocence and save his life, but Dylan isn't just the man of her dreams; he's her destiny. Fed up with the army, bigotry, and women-especially white women, Captain Dylan Casey dedicates himself to solving the mystery of Mary's disappearance, proving his innocence, and trying to stop a war between the whites and the Indians. Then Mary's cousin shows up, claiming a tornado killed Mary. Dylan doesn't trust Selena, but she's his only ally in Canyon Creek. Yet despite their common goal, growing mutual attraction, and a Comanche shaman's prophecy of a white woman who will change his destiny and foretell the fate of the Indian Nation, Dylan refuses to take a chance on another spoiled, white woman-until fate changes his mind.

She's his light breaking through the darknessA second chance? Why would Cassidy want one? She's already had everything she could possibly want: a husband, a baby on the way, the perfect life... until it all crumbled away. Now, two years after her husband's death, Cassidy is barely holding on. Her interests don't go beyond her quiet existence on the lake or her German shepherd, Fred. ...That is, until an arrogant jerk buys the place next door and steals her dog.A second chance? Mac doesn't need one. Or anyway, he doesn't deserve one.Mac bought a dilapidated cabin because it mirrors his state of mind: broken, isolated, useless to humanity. Plus, the place is close enough to town that he can drink himself into oblivion. He has no interest in connections except for one-night stands and commandeered time with his neighbor's dog. That is, unless you count Cassidy. It's a second chance: the one they both need.At first, Cassidy and Mac merely exist next to each other, but the attraction between them-the bond of their broken existence-pulls them together again and again. They aren't always the best people, but the jagged edges of their lives begin to heal each other, even as they strike out against it.★★★★★Holding on to Day is the rerelease of Alive Day, Lilly K. Cee's debut novel. It is a book about redemption, pain, and healing after everything falls apart. The book contains steamy scenes; and, as with real life, includes some trigger warnings: PTSD, depression, loss of loved ones, violence, and a miscarriage. It also includes a happily ever after for two people who may be broken but are working hard to pick up the pieces.

Set in 19th-century England, "The Trumbles" is a historical romantic comedy about the eavesdropping adventures of a quirky family. The Trumbles have a habit of listening in on other people's conversations, which leads them to many misconceptions. When they accidentally overhear conversations not intended for them, it sets off a chain of comedic events and misunderstandings."The Trumbles" is a delightful blend of romance, comedy, and historical fiction, with a colorful cast of characters and plenty of surprises along the way.Lilly began writing this book as part of National Novel-Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and she enjoyed the process so much that she kept on going until she had a story that made sense and characters she loved. Jane Austen's life was cut too short, and in the spirit of her novels the idea for "The Trumbles" was born. Lilly even had the privilege of traveling to England several times to see the places Ms. Austen was born, spent her time, and died; on one of those trips to Bath, England, Lilly saw a tragically stooping man who inspired the character of Mr. Grey, and a ridiculously chatty woman whom Lilly was trapped riding in a van with for hours, who inspired the character of Mrs. Trumble (particularly in her hatred of riding in carriages). In homage to her two favorite authors, the hero of the story was named Charles Austen. The inspiration for most of the characters Lilly drew from real life, giving them silly names from people she has known. The inspiration for Camden came from the street of the same name in Bath.
