Abram to Abraham explores the Abraham saga (11:27-22:24) through a literary lens, following the legendary figure of Abraham as he navigates the arduous odyssey to nationhood. Rather than overlook the textual discrepancies, repetitions and contradictions long noted by diachronic scholars, this study tackles them directly, demonstrating how many problems of the ancient text in fact hold the key to deeper understanding of the narrative and its objectives. Therefore, the book frequently notes the classic division of the text according to primary sources, but offers an alternative, more harmonious reading based on the assumption that the narrative forms a single, intentionally designed unit. The narrative’s artistic design is especially evident in its arrangement of the two halves of the story around the protagonists’ change of name. The stories of Abram and Sarai in the first half of the cycle (11:27-16:16) are parallel to the stories of Abraham and Sarah in the second half (18:1-22:24). A close reading of this transformation in the biblical narrative illuminates the moral and theological values championed by the figure of Abraham as luminary, soldier, family man, and loyal subject of God.

Dieser stellt eine spezifische Form der Sprachst rung dar, welche durch eine Sch digung des Gehirns im so genannten Broca-Areal der sprachdominanten linken Hemisph re des Gehirns entsteht. Die Sprachproduktion ist dabei durch das Fehlen grammatischer Strukturen je nach Auspr gung der L sion mehr oder weniger stark beeintr chtigt, weshalb S tze zwar gebildet werden k nnen, dies jedoch mit vereinfachter Syntax geschieht. Man spricht hierbei auch vom so genannten "Telegrammstil," der "Einworts tze oder wenige Inhaltsw rter (Substantive, Verben) in ihrer Grundform" beinhaltet. Die F higkeit Sprache zu verstehen bleibt dabei weitgehend unber hrt. Eine besondere Bedeutung im Rahmen der Agrammatismusforschung kommt der Flexionsmorphologie zu. Das Dual-Mechanism-Modell von Pinker und Prince (1988)als dualistisches Flexionsmodell geht dabei von zwei mentalen Repr sentationen bei der Verarbeitung von regul ren und irregul ren Flexionen aus und wendet sich damit gegen Ans tze, die von einer einheitlichen Repr sentation, also nur einem System zur Verarbeitung regul rer und irregul rer Flexionen, ausgehen. Im Folgenden sollen anhand von Personen verschiedener Nationalit ten mit entsprechender Broca-Aphasie ausgew hlte Beeintr chtigungen untersucht werden, um zu sehen welche Auswirkungen eine St rung im Bereich der sprachdominanten linken Hemisph re des Gehirns mit sich bringen kann. Parallel hierzu soll mit Hilfe bereits bestehender L sionsstudien nach Antworten gesucht werden, welche die Theorie unterschiedlicher kognitiver Mechanismen bei der Verarbeitung regul rer/irregul rer Flexionen untermauern
