Born a dragon, masquerading as a man. It was a time known as the dark ages. Cursed from birth with the ability to take the shape of a human, Dr oteth walks among the citizens of Malmsbury as one of them. He learns to subdue his instinct to kill when he acquires something he's never had: a friend. Is this the dawn of enlightenment, or will dragons and humans be drawn back into battles of blood and flame? Faced with an unexpected decision between his kind and men, Dr oteth makes a choice that changes his life forever. * * * This story revolves around emotional conflict and a lot of tension. I tried to take a different angle on what it would be like to exist as an ancient creature thrust into the world of man. There are witches, hints of magic and a few graphic battle scenes to round out the tale.

Christians are not supposed to be boring, religious, robots who attend a facility every week to be fed. We are called to be in the likeness of Jesus, carrying His authority and power into the world for all to see. Why is it that so many of us are living a watered-down version of Christianity that doesn't have the power Jesus promised?Using short, challenging chapters followed by collections of scripture solely from the New Testament, A Line in the Sand lays out the bare truth of the gospel about issues such as faith, holiness and whether there is a hell. Jesus does not call us to live according to the world, but His standard seems crazy in the midst of culture's ideologies and customs. This book contrasts the truth of Jesus with the confusion of our culture as never before. Your beliefs and opinions will come into question as scripture comes alive.Jesus drew a line in the sand and we must do the same. This book will challenge your concept of truth, authority and what it means to be a radical disciple of Jesus Christ.

When defrocked ex-priest, Jimmy Holiday, agrees to help an old friend with his sick daughter, he doesn’t expect the horrors that await him. The Blackmoor residence rests upon the outskirts of town with a history of magic, mayhem, and death. Jimmy must decide if the young girl, Lucy, is only ill, or if the haunting of the house and her apparent possession are real. After the house appears to affect him as well with colors of magic dancing before his eyes, rooms warded by a witch, and a ring of power in his voice, Jimmy is met by a transient who tells him he has “the Mark.” Whatever being “marked” means, Jimmy doesn’t care. All he wants to do is help Lucy. But, helping Lucy means performing the one thing he swore he would never do…an exorcism. Will he survive long enough to save the child—and his soul? “Defrocked priest Jimmy Holiday's narrative voice is a strong blend of insightful, self-deprecating, and sincere.” - Publisher's Weekly ?????

This book is not for the faint hearted, the language fits the perpetrators of this kind of crime. The words used in this book are what you would expect from violent men who abuse women. Once you get over the shock you see just how cleaver this book is in its description of men who commit domestic violence. This is a story that must be told, it could save women from suffering at the hands of an abuser. RECOMMENDATIONS A story of domestic violence, portrayed through a series of letters from the victim to her abuser, and the abuser to his brother. Author Neves has done an incredible job of describing the pathology of a victim staying with her abuser, and an incredible job of describing how the abuser justifies his actions. The main characters are believable and read as if Neves is very aware of the psychology of domestic violence. I highly recommend this book. DeniceT, Ex-Editor 7 years at DoubleDay Publishers NYC. This is the best book on an unsavoury topic that has ever come across my desk. A Portrait of Domestic Violence?

Much like we observe and collect data about our environment, wildlife, and endangered species, the Data Collectors were sent here to collect and report back information about us. At one time, humans lived on many planets, in many solar systems; but now we are endangered, and currently live on a single planet ... Earth. The Data Collectors are trying to determine what is causing our near extinction to save humans as a species. Meanwhile, special interest groups would rather see the human race die off sooner, rather than later. After all, if they can preserve what natural resources we have left, Earth is prime intergalactic real estate.

Book Two in the Series: The Data Collectors. To trust or not to trust, that is the question. Nothing is quite as it should be when Lucene Jones finally arrives on Erde. The Peace-Keepers are forced into an uneasy alliance with the Vitruvians when they discover that the nomadic Royals may have skipped out on a deal. Namely, they failed to deliver the one natural born empath, born of two genetically modified Data Collectors, to a restless demon named Jasper Set. To make matters worse, the Terrestrial Academy of Research and Awareness (TARA) is beginning to notice odd side effects from tampering with Mother Nature, making the Data Collectors seem potentially unfit to continue their research. How can they possibly save the human species when they can't even save themselves, begging the question, has everyone gone insane?

Winner of the 2017 Connecticut Book Award for PoetryWinner of the 2015 Idaho Prize for PoetryThe poems in Danielle Pieratti's Fugitives are punctuated by avoidance, disguise, and sheltering of all kinds--escapes both from and to. They combine the magical and the mundane, shifting between dreams and the domestic, while exploring the nebulous confines of marriage, motherhood, and girlhood. Ultimately they learn a kind of tentative security in a 'strange, unyielding,' and deserved present, one in which 'You are / safer than you thought. / You are almost / sleeping. And your body / is shaped like cloth and sounds / like a century.'
