The words and life of Peter, a disciple of Christ, documented by his travel companion Clement, seven years after the resurrection. While not considered part of the official biblical canon, it bluntly answers in detail many questions that modern Christians have been seeking: Why were we created? What is our purpose in this life? What happens when we die?Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do some have an easy life, while others suffer? Who is God?Who is Christ? What is the devil and demons? Why and how was evil created? Why the Eucharist? Why baptism?Where do these unwanted thoughts in my mind come from? How did the Mayans & Egyptians, and man in general, acquire all of their technologyand the knowledge of the stars and planets?

A Complete Guide to Programming in C++ was written for both students interested in learning the C++ programming language from scratch, and for advanced C++ programmers wishing to enhance their knowledge of C++. The chapters are organized to guide the reader from elementary language concepts to professional software development, with in-depth coverage of all the C++ language elements 'en route.' The order in which these elements are discussed reflects the goal of helping students create useful programs every step of the way.
ADO.NET Examples and Best Practices for C# Programmers

ADO.NET Examples and Best Practices for C# Programmers

The onset of the new .NET technology forces developers to completely rethink their data access strategies. All at once, there is an entirely new language and a new set of data access interfaces to learn and incorporate into their designs. The purpose of this book is to make the choice and implementation of the best of those technologies far easier. It does this through working examples and numerous discussions of what works, and what doesn't. Vaughn's "Best Practices" are the techniques that developers need to know because they cause the least amount of overhead, problems, and confusion - for the developer, the system, and the team. While some are quite simple to implement, other "Best Practices" require considerable thought and forethought to enable. This is a developer's book - full of hints, tips, and notes passed on from those who show the medals and scars of battles won and lost.
An Intellectual History of Migration Law and Policy c.1535-2020
Histories of migration policy are common, but an intellectual history of migration law has not been written yet. The intellectual history of migration law is hidden, partly because of the secondary nature of migration policy (itself a function of demographic, economic or foreign policy), and partly because of migration law’s unsteady position between international law and administrative law. This book describes the intellectual history of migration law partly through scholarly interventions in migration law and policy and partly through policy innovation created by administrative officials during the last two centuries. Immigration law was born from creating limits to large-scale, mostly open migration during the last decades of the nineteenth century. It was created against a backdrop of free movement based on the natural law tradition, which has survived as a countercurrent ever since.
