"The abuse of a thing is inevitable if the purpose is not known"-Myles Munroe And to re-echo the words of the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, who said and I quote: "Investing in education, finding decent jobs for young people and promoting social cohesion are just some of the things that can be done to make the world safer, more resilient and sustainable".Perhaps, it might be pertinent for me to commence this write up with the insightful words of Albert Einstein, who said and I quote: "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". And obviously, the present state of our world needs new thoughts, new strategies and new approaches to change and arrest the ugly trends now working against humanity. There is the vital need to proffer workable but simplified solutions to the current devastating humanitarian crises that are confronting our world today. And that is what the 17 SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations stand for. They are the language of transformative Economic, Social and Environmental changes that needed to be understood by both the young and old of our world. Then, how do we make these global goals local?.
