The world appears bedeviled with violence. But violence has not done anybody any good. Proponents of nonviolence still hold that the path of peace and love is the best way to get redress. This book did a conceptual analysis of civil disobedience in Martin Luther King, Jr in relation to his restoration of social equality between the blacks and whites in the American society as well as its application in the contemporary society. The book primarily used the method of analysis which entails a careful and critical examination of the idea of civil disobedience in Martin Luther King, Jr so as to understand it better. The book shows that civil disobedience as regards any law that degrades human dignity is still preferable to violent revolution.
