This book has been designed to illustrate the concept and practice of Bioavailability and Bioequivalence Studies and will definitely beneficial to them who are interested to proceed further in this field. India is the largest provider of generic drugs globally. Availability of the generic products in the market has been gained serious public consideration in respect of their safety and efficacy with the innovator products. Bioequivalence (BE) studies with a view to demonstrate therapeutic equivalence between two drug products (test and reference or innovator) can able to answer this public concern internationally. The aspect of bioequivalence study is not included in the syllabus of pharmacy or MBBS, this will be definitely helpful to the pharmacist, doctors and the pharma industries to have a thorough knowledge regarding this subject as well as it will guide them to establish a Contract Research Organizations (CRO) for conducting BA/BE study. Moreover it is obvious that the technology transfer from existing CROs for conducting BA/BE study is not possible due to commercial reason. In our book attempts were made to elaborate the CPU and the bioanalytical labs with specimen layout plan, list of essential instruments, and list of SOPs for conducting BA/BE studies etc. Prior to any study the approval of ethics committee is mandatory. Procedure of getting the approval along with the composition of ethics committee has been highlighted. The contents of protocol to conduct BA/BE study including ICF, CRF, PIS, IB, IU and preclinical study of volunteers along with procedure for reporting SAE have been discussed in details.

Algebras of bounded operators are familiar, either as C*-algebras or as von Neumann algebras. A first generalization is the notion of algebras of unbounded operators (O*-algebras), mostly developed by the Leipzig school and in Japan (for a review, we refer to the monographs of K. Schmüdgen [1990] and A. Inoue [1998]). This volume goes one step further, by considering systematically partial *-algebras of unbounded operators (partial O*-algebras) and the underlying algebraic structure, namely, partial *-algebras. It is the first textbook on this topic. The first part is devoted to partial O*-algebras, basic properties, examples, topologies on them. The climax is the generalization to this new framework of the celebrated modular theory of Tomita-Takesaki, one of the cornerstones for the applications to statistical physics. The second part focuses on abstract partial *-algebras and their representation theory, obtaining again generalizations of familiar theorems (Radon-Nikodym, Lebesgue).

Globally, the demand for electricity is increasing significantly and thus there is a need for more power generation. As a result, environmental pollution from burning fossil fuels is accelerating climate change at an unprecedented pace, as evidenced by recent extreme weather events across the world. As such, several paradigm shifts in power and energy systems are happening to protect the environment, societies, and economies against climate change. As the world is planning for a future with low carbon emissions, today’s power system is transitioning from its existing traditional hierarchical structure to a more decentralized framework through innovative energy management techniques, such as peer-to-peer (P2P) sharing. Due to the potential benefits that P2P sharing can offer to electricity prosumers, consumers, and the grid, research, development, and pilot trials of P2P are advancing rapidly. To capture these developments in this emerging energy management paradigm, present in this monograph is a comprehensive review of various features of P2P sharing.To do so, first introduced is the network and market structures that are required to facilitate P2P sharing within a local community. Thereafter, a comprehensive overview of various challenges of P2P energy-sharing mechanisms at both virtual and physical layers is provided, followed by a discussion of technical approaches used in literature to address these challenges. Third, some emerging technological innovations that will be relevant to, and important for, the development of P2P sharing in future markets are introduced and discussed.
