La persistance du paludisme constitue une menace majeure pour la sant et bloque la voie du d veloppement conomique pour les individus, les communaut s et les nations. La r sistance aux m dicaments est le principal obstacle la gestion et au contr le du paludisme, et elle progresse actuellement un rythme rapide, ce qui conduit un changement de politique de traitement en faveur de la th rapie combin e base d'art misinine (ACTS) dans le monde entier. Cette tude a t men e dans la r gion de Senner entre octobre 2008 et d cembre 2008 dans le but de contr ler l'efficacit de l'art misinine et de la pip raquine en tant que traitement antipaludique de premi re ligne et de valider le r le de la multiplicit de l'infection Plasmodium falciparum, de la parasit mie et de l' ge en tant que facteurs pr dictifs de l' chec du traitement. Les r sultats ont montr que l'art misinine-pip raquine avait un taux de gu rison lev de 97,6 % en tant que traitement antipaludique de premi re intention chez les patients atteints de la maladie de Senner. La parasit mie initiale ne joue aucun r le significatif dans le d veloppement de la r sistance l'art misinine-pip raquine. L'infection multiclonale plasmodium falciparum joue un r le significatif dans les r sultats du traitement l'art misinine et la pip raquine.

A resist ncia aos medicamentos o principal obst culo gest o e ao controlo da mal ria e, atualmente, est a progredir a um ritmo acelerado, levando mudan a da pol tica de tratamento para a terapia combinada com artemisinina (ACTS) em todo o mundo. Este estudo foi realizado na zona de Senner entre outubro de 2008 e dezembro de 2008 com o objetivo de monitorizar a efic cia da Artemisinina-Piperaquina como tratamento antimal rico de primeira linha e validar o papel da multiplicidade da infe o por Plasmodium falciparum, da parasitemia e da idade como factores de previs o do insucesso do tratamento. Os resultados mostraram que a Artemisinina-Piperaquina teve uma elevada taxa de cura de 97,6% como tratamento antimal rico de primeira linha em doentes com Senner. A parasitemia inicial n o tem um papel significativo no desenvolvimento de resist ncia Artemisinina-Piperaquina. A infe o multiclonal por Plasmodium falciparum tem um papel significativo no resultado do tratamento com Artemisinina-Piperaquina.
