Seit der Einführung des Arbeitslosengeldes II im Jahr 2005 wird die Bedeutung der Reform für das Ausmaß des Leistungsbezugs und die Arbeitsmarktchancen der Leistungsempfänger diskutiert. Brigitte Schels untersucht wissenschaftlich und sozialpolitisch relevante Fragen zur Entwicklung sozialer Ungleichheit im jungen Erwachsenenalter hinsichtlich der zeitlichen Struktur des Arbeitslosengeld-II-Bezugs und den Abgangswegen aus dem Leistungsbezug. Im Vordergrund steht der Zusammenhang zwischen einem Arbeitslosengeld-II-Bezug von jungen Erwachsenen und ihrer Ausbildungs- und Erwerbsbeteiligung. Die Analysen gestatten es, die Strukturen im Grundsicherungsbezug für 18- bis 29-Jährige belastbar zu quantifizieren.

In the search for explanations for differences in the shape of skulls and their phylogenetic development, the morphology of the skull must be seen in connec­ tion with the functions it has to perform. The skull encloses the brain and the sense organs and provides them with physical protection. It also houses the initial parts of the respiratory and digestive systems and together with the jaws constitutes a tool capable of cutting and grinding food. The skull must be able to withstand forces imposed upon it by chewing, by movement of the head, by the weight of the head itself, and by impact loadings. An investigation of the factors influencing the shape of the skull has to take into account not only the above-mentioned functions. The shape also de­ pends on the phylogenetic history 9f the species concerned, which prescribes a basic bauplan and places restrictions on the extent to which functions can influence the design of structural units. The possibilities for variations in skull shape are also limited by ontogenetic development, since the shape of the adult skull is the result of intermediate stages of development, at each of which the skull was a functioning unit. Body size and absolute and relative size of the sense organs in the head also play an important role in determining the shape of the skull.

Die arztrechtliche Thematik des vorliegenden Buches läßt Mediziner und Juristen nicht los. Die Rechtsprechung stilisiert den ärztlichen Eingriff unterschiedslos zur tatbestandlichen Körperverletzung. Sie stellt damit den Arzt in seinem alltäglichen beruflichen Handeln mit dem "Messerstecher" auf eine Stufe. Erst die aufgeklärte Einwilligung des Patienten vermag das strafrechtliche Unrecht im Einzelfall zu kompensieren. Das Unverständnis der Mediziner bezüglich dieser vor mehr als 100 Jahren entfalteten Rechtfertigungslösung ist ungebrochen. Ein Sonderstrafrecht für Ärzte, wie im Referentenentwurf zum 6. Strafrechtsreformgesetz von 1996 vorgesehen, vermag zurecht nicht zu besänftigen. Die Arbeit hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, den Straftatbestand der Körperverletzung mit Blick auf das ärztliche Handeln und die Patientenautonomie zu durchleuchten und die Grenzen aufzuzeigen, innerhalb derer die traditionelle Einordnung akzeptabel ist.

Die geplante Öffnung der Telekommunikation für den Wettbewerb hat auch Konsequenzen auf den Verbraucherschutz. Daher werden Verbraucherschutzprobleme in der Telekommunikation einer genaueren Betrachtung unterzogen.
