ENGLISH DESCRIPTION In her most personal book yet, the iconic star of the hit Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo and #1 bestselling author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up opens up about the cultural traditions that have inspired her philosophy--and can make our lives better today. "This book represents guiding principles by which I lead my life every day. They also define, at least for me, the values that flow through the customs, traditions, arts and sensibilities of Japan." Though she's known for "tidying up" and "sparking joy," there's more to Marie Kondo than her fervent desire to help you better appreciate your mess. Across book tours and international conferences, it became clear that her audience, while interested in how to keep their lives tidy, was also keen to learn about Marie herself and the culture that is intrinsic to her tidying method. Written with her television co-star Marie Iida, in Letter from Japan, Marie reflects on the myriad questions she received about her inspirations by examining the Japanese customs that she grew up with--minute details of tea ceremonies, the art of taking care of gardens, and the power of passing seasons--with her trademark gentle wisdom. But this book isn't only a response to her audience's wish to know the real Marie Kondo; it's a testament for her three children, a documentation of the foundational elements of their culture, despite the rapidly changing times, which is essential to their understanding of the world around them. With subtle and lyrical prose, Marie embarks on her most personal and affirming book yet, unveiling for her readers the customs, traditions, and practices that not only spark joy for her, but also to preserve them for future generations.

Spiritual Songs II: Blessings from a Sacred Soul
What are prayers? Why are prayers but the sweet songs of a thirsty soul? Where and when there is no hope, prayers but open the doors to hope. Whether or not one is religiously affiliated, this book is but a hope for everyone. Awaken from within yourself through the sweet songs of a prayer. Within this sacred book, there are one hundred and twenty three prayers I but call Songs. From the unknown darkness through the first peek of dawn, I waited for an answer to my prayers. Throughout the day, I searched everywhere for an answer to my prayers. I knocked upon all doors until I knew I must open the doors myself. After a long journey through the obstacles of life, for all of you seeking a prayer to find hope within, or to just recite in union with your fellow human, I give you my book of prayers I but call Spiritual Songs. Where there is no hope, find hope within a prayer. When you are but lost and stranded, hold on to the words of a prayer. When you are being judged by another soul, do remember we are all but the judged. Hold on to this sacred book as you find within yourself the first sight of hope within the words of a sweet prayer. May we the humans unite within one prayer, the prayer of a human soul. There is only one house and one family where we the humans but belong. This house is the house of prayers, the sweet songs of the human mind, body, and soul, where we but ask, seek, and knock for only the blessed candles of hope. For all humans, I give my book of prayers to hold on to as you but walk through this life, only to unite all humans within one song, one prayer. I call this book, Spiritual Songs II: Blessings From A Sacred Soul.
An Unforgettable Journey: From the Doors of a Church to the Security Gates of a Prison
Two years ago, I walked into my office and laid a paper on my computer with the words, "An Unforgettable Journey." I was excited to start writing about this amazing spiritual journey with the Father that I longed to experience. I had spent months googling a picture of a passport for the cover of this book with every page stamped with all the places we would be traveling. I was certain at the time that I knew why the Lord had dropped those three words into my heart. I stepped back into my office later that day ready to put pen to paper confident that I now had the title to this book. I started to write the introduction page and pulled out a few scriptures I wanted to lead with. I soon found myself staring at the paper in front of me throughout most of the day until I realized this was not the journey the Lord was leading me on. In fact, it would be seven years of struggling to understand why He kept closing doors I wanted stayed open. I would later understand that He was directing my steps and controlling my circumstances to bring me the His final destination for my life. I would learn that every disappointment I experienced along the way was a His greater plan to bring me to a place that I would perfectly fit in.

The current conception of the absolute chronology of the Italian Copper Age to the end of the Early Iron Age is set out in this new title from the British Museum. Some 850 objects have been arranged chronologically from the Copper Age, through the Bronze Age, to the Early Iron Age. Within these headings, the objects are organised typologically e.g. axes, swords etc. A major result of this study has been the reassembly of several groups of bronzes probably originally from hoards. Each entry includes a description, bibliogrpahy and comparanda and line drawing or photgraph.

Outcast But Not Forsaken: True Stories from a Paraguayan Leper Colony

Fascinating glimpses into the life of a woman banished to the margins or her society, these stories exude hard-earned spiritual and practical wisdom. Follow the remarkable odyssey of Maria Weiss, who spent eighteen long years in an isolated leper colony in Paraguay. Her vivid stories, as told to Maureen Burn, read like parables. They remind us that faith and solidarity often flourish where one least expects, and that there is always someone who is worse off than oneself: someone in need of your time, hands, and a listening ear.
