'Feminitch: Poems for the Modern Witch' is not for the faint-of-heart; in New Zealand/Filipina poet Chlo Maria Winstanley's most unapologetic poetry collection yet, Chlo uses feminism, the politics of women's bodies, and the subjugation of female power (both historically and in today's modern context) to create discussions over what it means to be a modern-day "witch". Split into three sections, 'Feminitch' takes you on a journey through time, evoking imagery of the magical and the mystical to compliment this different kind of feminism, while also looking at the nature of healing, and the importance of finding your voice in today's chaotic political climate."In Feminitch Chlo Maria Winstanley eloquently paints a picture of how it feels to be a woman in our current culture. Within the words of her poetry, she cuts to the heart of turbulent global issues and bravely reveals inner truth. I was left feeling a kinship with Chlo as well as hope for the climb of all women. She has the ability to light a passionate fire within her reader that prompts inner reflection and a call to action."-NIKKI VAN EKEREN, AUTHOR OF "GRACE AND GRIT, EMPOWERING POETRY""Feminitch is a window into the endless possibilities of magical realism poetry. Chlo writes history into the present and then rewrites it into a powerful new narrative. Feminitch is a call to women to recognize the magic of a female identity and a female body and is an uplifting anthem to womanhood."-KIMBERLY NGUYEN, AUTHOR OF "FLESH"

The king sees enemies everywhere, and to Kebaatre's shock, looks to him for help. As much as he has missed the sun and sand of home, Kebaatre is now torn between his past and his future. A Pocket-size Guide to Effective Management from a Former Tier I Amazonian: Zeroing in on Servant Leadership inside of Warehouse Distribution Centers
Throughout my time a Tier I Amazonian, I was exposed to various management styles. Some styles were influential while others were unacceptable. There is no such thing as a perfect manager. Managers are expected to lead via Amazon's fourteen leadership principles. It must go beyond following those fourteen leadership principles though. The purpose of this book is to give the reader an inside look at managing a team of associates from the perspective of the associate. Most books ever written about management are written by managers or a person with a degree in management. Imagine grasping key principles about effectively managing a team from the individuals you are managing. It is kind of unique; during my time as a Tier 1 associate, I have been able to pick up on characteristics that each and every manager should strive to possess (and some they should dispose of). In a nutshell, it all ties back to a concept known as servant leadership. Read and "dive deep" with me as I explore nine guiding principles that center around effective management techniques in a warehouse or distribution setting.
At the Boundaries of Homeownership

At the Boundaries of Homeownership

In the United States, homeownership is synonymous with economic security and middle-class status. It has played this role in American life for almost a century, and as a result, homeownership's centrality to Americans' economic lives has come to seem natural and inevitable. But this state of affairs did not develop spontaneously or inexorably. On the contrary, it was the product of federal government policies, established during the 1930s and developed over the course of the twentieth century. At the Boundaries of Homeownership traces how the government's role in this became submerged from public view and how several groups who were locked out of homeownership came to recognize and reveal the role of the government. Through organizing and activism, these boundary groups transformed laws and private practices governing determinations of credit-worthiness. This book describes the important policy consequences of their achievements and the implications for how we understand American statebuilding.
