The Tribe of Dan is a thematic study which explores the theology, organizational structure, evangelistic strategy, ministry and leadership of the New Connexion of General Baptists as it experienced the process of institutionalization in the transition from a revival movement to an established denomination.

Y lo hacen reiteradamente. As , termina sucediendo que la industria editorial que, deber a servir al enriquecimiento cultural de las poblaciones, se convierte en un nuevo y delet reo instrumento para su empobrecimiento. Y luego, alguien se sorprender de que la industria editorial est en crisis Este libro est estructurado en dos partes: la primera est guiada por la desagradable sorpresa que tuvimos al leer Origen, la ltima novela de Dan Brown y ver como la ciudad en la que nacimos y la naci n a la que pertenecemos, eran simplemente maltratadas por un argumento descuidado en el que el autor hace gala de una desinformaci n rayano en el analfabetismo estructural. Y lo que es peor, la editorial espa ola que lo promociona, es perfectamente consciente de estas carencias, especialmente de los datos pol ticos e hist ricos que presenta. Lo triste es que, verdaderamente, Dan Brown ha desaprovechado lo que una ciudad como Barcelona y un pa s como Espa a pod a ofrecer a los lectores. En la segunda parte intentamos demostrar que las novelas de Dan Brown son pr cticamente una misma y nica novela, con planteamientos similares, con el mismo problema de fondo, con las mismas constantes y los mismos elementos... pero ambientada en ciudades distintas. A eso se reduce, en la pr ctica, la obra de Dan Brown. Vale la pena reflexionar sobre c mo unas novelas, mediocres en todos los terrenos, compensan sus carencias mediante un extraordinario despliegue de marketing y publicidad. Este hecho puede ser considerado como la sintomatolog a de un mal muy profundo: la humanidad del siglo XX se contenta con poco y, en todos los terrenos, incluso en el de los productos culturales, se ha vuelto poco exigente. De hecho uno puede pensar que, por este camino, en pocos a os, se ofrecer n en los escaparates mierdas secas bien aplanadas y habr gente que las comprar simplemente porque est n de moda o han sido bien promocionadas. Ya hoy en el mundo de la m sica y en el de la literatura o el cine, estamos pr ximos a este triste destino.
