As a minister of the gospel for 57 Years, I learned in the early years that each sermon I preached was for a determined time, a definite purpose, a specific place to accomplish a greater purpose for the glory of God. Not just certain, not a few but all my sermons over these past years were given to me the same way. It begins with a heartfelt prayer, constant Bible reading and suddenly a burst of the Holy Ghost that so exuberates and quickens my mortal body that I know what God has given this mortal man will fulfill and quicken others when the sermon is complete. One day I had Bible reading and prayer. The Holy Spirit quickened me on a scripture that for 57 years has been my favorite, The 23rd Psalm. Psalm 23:3 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. I gave the Lord praise for he gave me the base of a wonderful sermon, "he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." I was looking forward for this sermon to be preached. The Holy Spirit led me to write down what was placed in my spirit. Question 1: Since we are led into paths of righteousness, how do we know the way of righteousness. Holy Spirit's answer; we know the way by being led by Christ's example. Question 2: Is the average Christian following Christ example. Holy Spirit's answer; The average man, whether Christian or non- Christian's righteousness depends on their personal walk with God. After question 2, I knew this must either be a series of sermons or something I had never done, write a book. It is all in Holy Scripture; God does give mankind paths or "Quest for Righteousness." So, we proceed forth seeking not for man's righteousness but for God's righteous name sake. I realized it is very important for all Christians to follow the "Quest for Righteousness" Christ has given us to follow and complete each Quest from the first quest to the last. As God opened my heart through scripture, the book grew in size. My only hope is that I convey unto you what the Holy Spirit gave me to write.
