Todo acontece en la cocina de una mansi n aristocr tica, en donde la se orita Julia, hija del due o, intima intencionalmente con un criado de nombre Juan. La se orita padece un desequilibrio mental, producto de su formaci n de infancia y el criado aprovecha esto para utilizarla y expresar toda la rabia de su condici n social. Esta manipulaci n aboca la trama de manera inexorable hacia la tragedia, aunque antes se desplegar n sobre el escenario todos los componentes que la han provocado: el pasado, las diferencias, la pasi n y la personalidad de los protagonistas. Interviene aqu un tercer personaje, se trata de Cristina, la cocinera y aparentemente prometida de Juan, quien cumple una funci n modesta pero no por ello menos importante en el planteamiento y el desenlace de la acci n de esta incre ble historia.
