Jesus warned of wolves carefully disguised as shepherds coming into local churches as pastors. It is the perfect disguise for a predator to access and devour the flock one lamb at a time while proclaiming himself as their protector and guardian. The result is spiritual devastation, broken congregations, and even destroyed churches. Darrell Puls attests from experience that the enemy has infiltrated the North American church through pastors with dangerously high levels of narcissism. These pastors hide under layers of the sacred, but it is always an illusion of smoke and mirrors.Puls has experienced this reality from the inside as a staff pastor under a narcissist, and from the outside as a church consultant. He carefully unpacks toxic narcissism in everyday terms, and lets the victims tell their own stories. Let Us Prey, Revised Edition is as real as it gets.
Toward a Postmodern Ethic of Radical Freedom is one of the first, if not the first, to bring Cornel West and Michel Foucault together in a meaningful dialogue to formulate "a postmodern ethic of radical freedom." This dialogue begins with the practical posture of West, more specifically his notions of truth and reality and work, then goes back to his more theoretical work to explore the same notions. As a project in constructive ethics, this book examines Cornel West's epistemology (notion of truth) and metaphysics (notions of reality) as foundational components for a postmodern ethic of radical freedom. These foundational components are then brought into a discursive conversation with aspects of Michel Foucault's archaeology and genealogy, with a method called reconstruction. This reconstruction results in two important trajectories, radical ontology and radical epistemology, which become the pillars for a postmodern ethic of radical freedom. The last chapter of the book weaves together all components with the womanist work of Monica Coleman and Patricia Hill Collins as examples of this ethic of radical freedom. Practically speaking, this postmodern ethic of radical freedom serves as a platform to ensure transcendence so that all people, regardless of race, gender, or sexuality, can enjoy a flourishing and fulfilled life.

Graverobbers, vengeful ghosts, reluctant killers, dead bodies in trunks, and monstrous entities abound in this chapbook of four stories and five flash-fiction stories from Darrell Z. Grizzle, horror and crime fiction author from shadow-haunted Marietta, Georgia. Includes the previously-unpublished dreadpunk story, "The Haunted Verger." "Good shit right here. Tell 'em I sent ya." Brian Panowich, author of Bull Mountain and Like Lions "You'll be hard-pressed to find a more enjoyable collection of stories than this one. Settle in with your drink of choice on a nice stormy night and enjoy, just make sure the doors are locked before you do." James R. Tuck, author of the Deacon Chalk series and more. "Sharp, tight, and tense writing tie all these stories together. Darrell Z. Grizzle's talent for short, quick jabs to the the heart will keep you turning pages until the end. Once you catch your breath, you'll be wanting more." Nicole Givens Kurtz, author of Silenced: A Cybil Lewis Mystery "Darrell Z. Grizzle's chapbook, I Never Meant to Start a Murder Cult, is a marvelously horrific collection of stories. Some, like 'Moonlight Sonata, With Scissors, ' are downright disturbing. Others, such as 'The Last Confession, ' will make you cheer for the hero. But all of them are wonderfully written and guaranteed to make readers gasp, 'I didn't see that coming ' Grizzle has created a cast of characters that pull you in and hold on tight. I highly recommend his collection, but, unless readers are very brave, I also recommend that they enjoy them during daylight hours." Valjeanne Jeffers, author of the Immortal and Mona Livelong Paranormal Detective series "Darrell Z. Grizzle is a writer to watch. He has a feel for Southern Gothic and horror, not to mention a sly sense of humor. Recommended." Charles R. Rutledge, co-author of Congregations of the Dead and A Hell Within "Darrell Z. Grizzle has an immediately recognizable and decidedly unique voice. And I love it. He approaches his subjects from the side - never head on. Darkness abounds, yes, but it's often couched in humor. And as he works his way to unexpected and often unpleasant endings, you will be enthralled. I was." Grant Jerkins, author of A Very Simple Crime and A Scholar of Pain

Beneath Yellowstone National Park a super-volcano has started rumbling. It's been there for a very long time, though most Americans are not aware of it. Every three hundred thousand years or so it erupts with devastating consequences. Scientists say it's getting ready to erupt. Naysayers say it's a hoax. The Interior Department closes the park and orders an evacuation. Most people comply, and those who don't stay behind knowing they're risking a very violent death. Millions will die. And the lives of every survivor will be changed forever. There really is a super-volcano beneath Yellowstone National Park. It really has erupted in the past and WILL erupt again. And when it does scientists say it'll take up to twenty percent of the United States with it. You do not want to be in that twenty percent.
"Learning Rectangles Side by Side" This is a lighthearted picture book for children that explains the basics of rectangles with illustrations and humor. In this fanciful story two shapes meet for the first time and begin to learn about each other side by side.
Hell is a word that does not exist in the Bible's original languages. It is an English word that came from 3 Greek words and 1 Hebrew word: Hades, Gehenna, Tartarus, and Sheol. None of those are eternal and none of them are the "Lake of Fire" mentioned in Revelations. This book is for the serious student who is looking for truth versus tradition. Everlasting punishment was not believed by most of the early Church fathers and did not become a popular belief until 400 years after Christ. This book looks at scripture, history, and original languages for a comprehensive understanding of this non-Biblical word, "Hell".
This wild chase tops the dinosaur and Bigfoot (or an alien, most likely) for craziness and extremely dangerous clues to the Godfather's billions--and to a treasure supposedly worth far more than that. The Williard brothers are showing their age but not ready to slow down yet, even if it kills them--and it very well might because they are headed into their most dangerous, wildest adventure.
Scientists knew it was coming for decades. At least they claimed to. And perhaps some of them did. Most of them, though, were as surprised as everyone else when the ice packs started to melt. Thus began the great debate on what was causing it. Those with a certain political leaning claimed it was greenhouse gases, the exhaust from machines and smokestacks, which was causing global temperatures to rise. Others, with different political agendas, scoffed and said it was a natural occurrence of the earth, going through its normal heating and cooling cycles. Whatever was causing it didn't really matter. What mattered was that it was happening. And those scientists who believed the rising sea levels or more severe and more frequent storms would mark the worst of it were very wrong. The deadliest result of climate change, the one that threatened to wipe out all of mankind, would come from a place no one expected.
This book is designed to make the learning of basic shapes fun for little ones. Abstract concepts are easily explained with illustrations and humor. This is the second book in the " Learning Side by Side " series. The first book: "Learning Rectangles Side by Side " is also available on Amazon.
This book will help you get started in developing your relationship with God. This is a format and an outline that has proven to be successful.

"Jungle" was & is the only name he has ever been called. It is also the one name that that unsettles even the hood's most intimidating thugs, and murderous dopeboys. By day this unassuming slender Haitian born day laborer goes about his business as a seemingly harmless migrant employee of a local janitorial company, however once night falls upon his East Baltimore neighborhood anyone possessing valuables falls victim to this savage ski mask clad stickup kid. With calculated strong armed robbery, violent rape & the ever present murder game all at his disposal the grim streets of Charm City have become all the more sinister. Jungle stalks the dark shadows of the hood's avenues & boulevards cruising silently behind the wheel of a dark sedan. He's on that paperchase hunt & if spotted you just might be the prey... "
