OM SERIEN HELP READ START Shaving Jake ingår i serien HELP Read Start, som är en serie bestående av 20 småböcker med enkla berättelser. Texterna har sin utgångspunkt i läromedelspaketet HELP Start och dess nivåindelning A-F. Böckerna finns i tryckt form, som inlästa Mp3-filer och som inlästa digitala versioner, som även ingår i HELP Online. Genom HELP Read Start får eleven möjlighet att redan tidigt i arbetet med HELP uppleva att hen faktiskt klarar att läsa en bok på engelska.
