Aisha geniesst nicht nur als Prophetengattin und UEberlieferin seiner Aussagen besonderes Ansehen. Als Gelehrte des Islams und Interpretatorin des Korans ist sie quer durch alle sunnitischen Rechtsschulen eine weit geschatzte Autoritat. Der neue Gegenstand dieser Forschung ist Aishas Methodik in ihrer Textinterpretation und ihrer Ergrundung islamischer Standpunkte - das 'Usul von Aisha. Durch 139 extrahierte und begrundete Regeln wird eine hoch interessante Systematik in ihrem fruhislamischen Denken nachgewiesen. Die Erkenntnisse dieser Forschung sind sowohl fur die Methodik des Islamrechts und deren Entstehungsgeschichte, wie auch fur die vergleichende Semantik und Hermeneutik von Interesse.
