THIS BOOK MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE If you feel an excruciating headache, dizziness or blurred vision, to name a few, you could be having an aneurysm. WHAT DO YOU DO? Without knowledge of the warning signs, you might be unaware of your change in mental state. Understanding my struggles could make the difference between a quick recovery or death. So...hold tight, ride along with me and experience my life from 2006 to 2016. You'll discover an endless journey through hospitals, clinics, emergency rooms, doctors, nurses, therapists, psychologists, etc. Although I found most of my experiences with medical providers "positive", in my opinion, a few exhibited incompetence, hostility and deception. I've described each of my negative encounters in detail throughout the book. You or your champion must be aware and take immediate corrective action. Licensed psychologists Francine Beauvoir, PhD, and Bruce Crapuchettes, PhD, know of what they write in the Trilogy, "GETTING BACK THE LOVE WE HAD - Ending the Power Struggle". Crapuchettes dragged Beauvoir to couples therapy kicking and screaming nearly thirty years ago. He was convinced their problems were all her fault, but he quickly learned that it takes two-he was as much responsible for their marital discord as she was, even though he was totally unaware at the time of how that could be true. This series is presented as a Trilogy. Volume One opens with their journey from hanging on by a thread to moving to marital connection and happiness. The book quickly moves into how you and your partner can develop and nurture a fulfilling and successful relationship that lasts a lifetime. Beauvoir and Crapuchettes include their answers to 126 questions asked by real couples in their weekly blog for couples, 42 in each of the three volumes. Their answers are sure to help you address some of your relational issues. The authors also offer readers a "Joke of the Day"-because, "A belly laugh a day keeps the marital therapist away " Answers to couples questions are based on "The six pillars of building a healthy relationship". The authors introduce the "Formal Dialogue" process for improving communication and hope you will practice it. Volume Two, sub-titled, "Rebuilding Our Dream" starts out with an exciting chapter by Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt recounting the story of couplehood from the beginning of time to the present. This history cuts to the heart of being human, namely, that the essence of our being is relational rather than individual. Within this context, the authors invite you to develop a "Relationship Vision" together - what your ideal relationship would look like in an ideal world. Volume Three is sub-titled, "A New Focus On Each Other". It draws a parallel between the "Formal Dialogue" and mindfulness. Essential to creating safety is also learning how to ask for what you need in a positive manner. They will guide you on that path.

Google isn't up to the task when it comes to serious research, and though your patrons and students have heard of the "invisible," or "deep" Web, they have no idea how to tap into it. You need practical tools and strategies for teaching them about the Web sources and specialized databases they will never find using everyday search engines. This book will show you in simple, nontechnical terms how to integrate the invisible Web into teaching opportunities wherever they occur: in a one-on-one "teaching moment" at the reference desk, or in a formal course. Estimated at 500 times the size of the visible Web, the invisible Web and the search skills needed to plumb its depths should be a part of every information literacy and research skills course. With this book you get expert teaching tips and scripts for informal instruction, plus model activities and assignments for the classroom. Statistics and summaries of relevant research will help you combat myths like "Searching is Easy," or "Everything Important is Free." Read this book too, to find out how the best deep Web search tools, including CompletePlanet, Closer Look, and the Librarian's Internet Index, are evolving and what it all means for your library's future electronic collection development plans.

This book provides an overview of multiple aspects of spatial language understanding and explores recent trends of modeling based on very large foundational models and their applications. The authors address the following five main themes: spatial semantic representations in both symbolic and sub-symbolic spaces; spatial information extraction computational models; reasoning over spatial language; commonsense spatial understanding; and multiple modern and state-of-the-art downstream applications of spatial language understanding including dialogue systems, narrative discourse, and grounding language in the physical world with the multi-modal problem settings. One of the essential functions of natural language is to express spatial relationships between objects. Linguistic constructs can encode highly complex structures of objects, spatial relations between them, and patterns of motion through space relative to a reference point. The complexity of spatial language understanding and its importance in downstream tasks that involve grounding the language in the physical world has become evident and important to the natural language processing research community. In addition, this topic has recently attracted the attention of various sub-communities in the intersection of natural language, computer vision, and robotics.
