A to Z Shampoo Recipes for Total Beginners: 25 Easy Shampoo Recipes to Cleanse and Moisturize Your Natural Hair
Save Hundreds of Dollars Making Your Own, Better, More Healthy Shampoo. This Book includes links to 50 plus, free healthy Mexican Recipes. Did you know that an average person has around 130,000 strands of hair on their head? Can you imagine what happens when you do not take care of all these strands? Wayne Rooney is a professional footballer that underwent a hair transplant. A hair transplant is the right way for fixing hair loss, but guess what? It can cost you an arm and a leg Scientists have discovered that overuse of commercial shampoos can cause deadly hair loss problems. Let us do an easy five-minute procedure that will end up making a nice smelling, cheap, natural and reliable shampoo. Making one's hair oily has a lot of reasons behind it. Most commercial shampoos are acidic, denuding your hair glands that produce natural oils. To resolve this issue, you have to go organic. The benefits that come with an oily hair include having a natural protective substance - the natural hair oil. If you do not have an oily hair, there is no cause for alarm. The variations seen between oily and non-oily hair mostly result from genetics. The shampoo moisturizes and softens greasy hair. It also protects the hair against the environment, especially harsh sunlight. Do you want to save money? If you yes, then you can make your natural shampoo that's way better than most expensive commercial shampoos. Here is how.

Hot, Juicy, Bread( with butter maybe ), You Can do it Too Bread We have friends over and want to commune with them; we break bread. The simple act of showing friendship and fellowship. If we are short on money, we need to make some dough. The simple start to the bread making process is synonymous with making our way in the world. If we find something amazing, it is the best thing since sliced bread. Sliced bread must have been pretty amazing. Was there anything good before it? No one will ever know. If we are celebrating, we make a toast (which I do not think has anything to do with bread, but I was running out of bread-related things to say.) Bread is something we take for granted. It is something which has been part of our culture for thousands of years. It is a part of our daily life. We cannot go anywhere without bumping into a slice of bread. From the humble cheese on toast to the mighty sandwich, to the fantastic grilled cheese sandwich, bread is everywhere. We cannot escape it. We will not escape it. Now that we have that cleared up let
A History of Child Welfare

A History of Child Welfare

As we approach the year 2000, infant mortality rates, child placement dilemmas, and appropriate socialization of children continue to challenge the field of child welfare. It is thus especially significant to reflect on the history of child welfare. The carefully selected topics explored in this volume underscore the importance of recovering past events and themes still relevant. It is the aim of this volume to illumine current issues by a review of past struggles and problems. A History of Child Welfare offers many examples of practices that have direct import for those who struggle to support children. Who is not bothered by what seem to be increasing acts of violence by children against children? The role of hidden cruelty to children in perpetuating violence is illuminated by studying the past. Historians and social researchers have gone far in examining the family, and by implication, their revelations greatly increase society's complex responses to children over time from early assumptions that children were little more than miniature adults to the discovery of childhood as a special developmental period. At the start of this century women still did not have universal suffrage and brutal child labor was not unusual. Harsh legal codes separating the races were widespread, and those bent on improving the lot of children knew that reform meant commitment to an uphill struggle. By the end of the century, much has changed: child labor, while still present, has been outlawed in most industries, women vote and hold many high offices; and de jure racial segregation is largely a memory. Yet the state of children remains precarious, with poverty a persistent theme throughout the century. The fifteen articles in this volume cover a wide range of social conditions, public policies, and approaches to problem solving. Though history does not repeat itself precisely, problems, controversies about solutions, and certain themes do. A History of Child Welfare takes up social and economic conditions that correlate with increasing rates of child abuse and neglect, and an increasing number of children in out-of-home care. This volume distinguishes approaches that have been useful from those that have failed. In this way, these serious reflections help build on past successes and avoid previous errors.

When teachers and students first learn about digital stories, they often focus on the bells and whistles: images, music, sound effects, and so on. To Lisa Miller, a good digital story -- like any good story -- is all about the writing. In Make Me a Story, Lisa shows how to use digital stories to lead students through all phases of the writing process, from planning to revising and editing.Digital storytelling uses computers and software to marry text with art -- photographs, drawings, paintings, and video -- as well as narration and music. Lisa leads teachers step-by-step through the process of writing a digital story in an accessible (even for the computer neophyte), instructional, and entertaining way. Through the projects outlined in the book, students learn how to write good stories, make art and text work together, and use technology in creative ways.Make Me a Story discusses different types of digital stories, shows how to assess digital assignments and motivate reluctant writers, and explains how digital storytelling teaches skills supported by national education and technology standards. Teachers will find specific suggestions for writing exercises and various ways to get students thinking about how best to tell their stories. The accompanying CD includes examples of student stories discussed in the text.

The book begins with an overview of the constraint-based perspective on systems and organizations, commonly referred to as the theory of constraints or synchronous management. The first section will guide you through the fundamental principles and processes that are the backbone of the thinking process application tools. The second section contains the step-by-step guidelines for each of the five thinking process application tools. These tools utilize sufficient cause thinking and necessary condition thinking. Third section introduces two ways that two or more of the thinking process application tools are combined, providing robust processes for the understanding and communicating problems and solutions. This book can be used as a field guide to learning the five thinking process application tools as needed, based on their own particular issues. You will have a full understanding of the theory and practical application of these powerful processes, including when and when not to use each tool. The total benefit is not just to apply the thinking process, but to develop intuition and have the ability to combine logic and intuition in the same thinking process.

This book lifts up women of the Hebrew Bible who, working with the Divine, play amazing roles in the stories of Israel--prophet, judge, worship leader, warrior, scholar, scribe. They helped people celebrate the Divine's triumph over oppression. They spoke boldly to those in power. They went into battle to secure their people's safety. They gave wise judgments in important legal matters. They authenticated sacred texts and inspired a reform to help Israel return to the way of Torah. In roles that were not tied to their wombs or fertility, these women made Israel's story possible and helped it to continue to future generations.

Student affairs professionals are increasingly being called upon to become scholar practitioners, to reflect on and share their experiences to further the knowledge of the field, and to disseminate practices to promote student learning and development. This book offers practical guidance to anyone in the field interested in presenting at conferences or publishing in scholarly and professional journals, and sets the work of scholarly practice in the context of its vital role of influencing and shaping the future of student affairs, and in promoting continuous learning. The authors demystify the processes of producing research and scholarly work; address motivation and barriers such as time-constraints or confidence; and provide advice on developing ideas, writing, getting feedback, staying on task, identifying the appropriate outlets and venues for ideas, submitting proposals, as well as on speaking and presentation skills. It also directs readers to books and online resources and presents the reflections of senior student affairs officers on scholarship in the profession. As the authors state, student affairs professionals are often in the best position to test the myths about what really works for college students to have access, persist, and graduate. Through their daily interactions with students they develop the grounding for theories and strategies to improve the college experience, none of which can be advanced without scholarship, without presenting and writing, and the debate that they stimulate. This book is intended for student affairs professionals at all levels. It sets the context for those starting their careers as they navigate and understand their new roles; aims to inspire mid-level professionals to present or write about their experiences and contributions; and offers senior administrators strategies to pursue their own scholarship while creating a supportive environment for their staff to do so, and develop their agency and professional growth in the process.
