In the 1980s, following decades of booming business, the global steel industry went into a precipitous decline, which necessitated significant restructuring. Management demanded workers’ increased participation in evermore temporary and insecure labour. Engaging the workers at the flagship Stelco plant in Hamilton, the authors document new management strategies and the responses of unionized workforces to them. These investigations provide valuable insights into the dramatic changes occurring within the Canadian steel industry.
Lists of Words Occurring Frequently in the Hebrew Bible
The student of Hebrew need master a vocabulary of less than 800 words to have learned all the verbs occurring twenty-five times or more and all other words used more than fifty times in the Hebrew Old Testament. The lists that Dr. Watts has prepared are taken from W. R. Harper's Hebrew Vocabularies, which has been revised and corrected in comparison with Kohler-Baumgartner, Lexicon in Veteris Testamenti Libros. Where a verb occurs in only one stem, this is noted in the Hebrew list. When a verb has different meanings in different stems, this is noted in the English list. Nouns and adjectives from the same root are listed together so that the student may learn to distinguish them immediately. Words are arranged according to the frequency of their occurrence. The author has used these lists in mimeographed form for more than five years in teaching elementary Hebrew to theological students.

With dozens of illustrations to lead you from analysis to repair, this classic manual is necessary for anyone curious about watches and how they tick.“Have you ever thought of watch repairing as a hobby? You may feel that a watch is so tiny and your hands are so big. Just there lies the fascination of this hobby; watches are so tiny, and because they are so tiny they have to be much more perfectly made than other mechanisms. You may not believe it but you can, with practice, acquire such skill in handling the tiny parts of a watch that you will forget that they are tiny. You can start in quite a small way and you only need a few tools; as you grow in confidence and skill you will find more and more to interest you. It may even be that you will make some momentous discovery which will rock the horological world.”—From the Preface
The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ, and the Great Tribulation!
The church has gone through a tremendous change since the days the Bible was written. For some reason few parishioners are warned to fear God, and of equal importance, too keep His commandments. John said: "He that says I know Him, and doesn't keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him" (1 Jn. 2:4). Yet we hear preachers claiming it doesn't matter how we live; Jesus will accept us. Paul said: "...if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no not to eat" (1 Cor. 5:11). After Jesus recues His church, those that are left here will wish they had invested every moment of their life seeking Him for the truth. Just because someone says they believe in Jesus doesn't make it so, your life and soul, depends on what you know about Him: especially how you should live for Him. "Let us therefore fear, lest, the promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it" (Heb. 4:1). David Terry is an evangelist that has been ordained since 1985. His credentials can only be attributed to the Holy Spirit, for only God has the ability to place a person in a Christian ministerial position. He doesn't adhere to any denomination, for there is only one body, and one Head of that body. After years of studying God's Word, and discovering how near we are to the end, he feels it is only right to reveal the truth of Scripture. And to let people know that one of the greatest gifts God offers to all of us is Himself, and the other is the Bible.

This novel is based on a true story about Lambert Roth, and his two brothers, Xavier and Michael. They immigrated from Germany to Russia in the 19th century in an effort to avoid a revolution. Their father obtained a homestead in Russia which was free to immigrant German farmers in an effort to help feed the starving Russian populace at that time. The Russian Military quickly kidnapped the three brothers at gunpoint and forced them to fight in the notorious Russian Cossacks. They were trained to kill or be killed and lived and died by the creed. They were subjected to endless bloody battles over the next six years, narrowly escaping death on a daily basis. They continued to protest to the Russian authorities about their illegal abduction, and finally they were given their releases and visas to America and Spain. The family continued their saga of love and life and were constantly blessed by God. D. W. Roth is a retired Disabled American Veteran, living in San Jose, California. He has written and published many poems and song lyrics along with his national, typo-ten award winning short story: You Are The Father Of, which he originally wrote while in combat in Korea in 1953. Mr. Roth is a first time novelist. He was taught Russian History while being raised by his Grandfather, Lambert Roth, who had been a school teacher in Russia in the 1980's and eventually became a veteran Russian Cossack Warrior of many conflicts. Together, some years later, they translated Lamberts' memoirs into English and wrote the outline for the Future Novel: Memoirs of a Cossack Warrior.
