In collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution, this fun rhyming board book introduces little ones to Dinosaur Roar, the brave Tyrannosaurus rex The king of the dinosaurs, Dinosaur Roar, had a roar that no creature could ever ignore Not only will readers meet Roar in this board book perfect for little hands, but facts about this incredible dinosaur are included on the last page. With fantastic rhyming text written by series creator, Peter Curtis, and award-winning author, Jeanne Willis, Dinosaur Roar The Tyrannosaurus rex is perfect for preschool children. Inspired by the classic picture book, Dinosaur Roar by Paul Stickland and Henrietta Stickland, this colorful series introduces a cast of authentic dinosaur characters to very young children and is approved by the Smithsonian Institution. Each book also contains a pronunciation guide as well as a spread of simple dinosaur facts, making this the perfect gift for young dinosaur fans The Smithsonian is the world's largest museum and research complex, dedicated to public education, national service, and scholarship in the arts, Smithsonian sciences, and history.
Press the baby T. rex to hear his squeaky roar in this adorably illustrated board book. Baby T. rex wants nothing more than to roar like his mom, but there's just one problem...his roars sound like a squeak Young readers will love pressing the squishy T. rex's squeaky, silicone belly on every page as he learns that there's nothing more fearsome than a squeaking dino in this adorably illustrated board book.
Baby T. rex hatches and explores the prehistoric world. Of particular interest is another egg that has rolled from the T. rex nest and gotten stuck in a hole. It'll take luck (and some help from a turtle) for the little dinosaur to rescue their sibling. Written by former preschool teacher Julie Abery and infused with Gavin Scott's warm illustrations depicting the late Cretaceous era, this book in the Baby Dinosaurs board book series will delight babies and toddlers and demand to be read again and again.
Supremely silly, fabulously funny, and wholly heartwarming - a book to celebrate the power of books and imagination, a book to be read again and again

This workbook was created for my language arts students and has been used successfully with fourth through seventh grade classes. My intentions were to provide a fun way to stir the imagination and creativity of my students and to open the door to the wonderful world of poetry. It contains instructions for writing Couplets, Haikus, Cinquains, Acrostics, Alliterations, Limericks, Free Verse, and ABCB form. Sample poems for each style are included along with detailed instructions for creating that style and illustrations that the students may color. There is a templet page for each style that the students can use for writing their own poems, and an index of rhyming words at the back of the book. As the author, I give all public, private, and homeschool teachers who purchase this workbook permission to copy all or any parts of it for use with their own students.
T. rex was about as long as a school bus and weighed about as much as an elephant Meet this terrifying prehistoric beast and learn about its traits and habitat.
The Long-Awaited Arrest of Long Island Serial Killer Rex Heuermann Past "Administration" to Blame

As the reader peruses these pages, he or she will note pertinent information regarding accused serial killer Rex Heuermann, disgraced former Suffolk County Chief of Police James Burke, disgraced former Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota, and his disgraced former Anti-corruption Bureau Chief Christopher McPartland. The four will be presented intermittently throughout the book. This approach will avoid bogging the reader down with too much information at one time as there is much to cover within these pages. Also, specifically related timetables referencing these major characters as well as the murder victims in lieu of lengthy prose will expedite the writing process. For example, trying to encapsulate all relevant information from a 598-page book titled A Criminal Injustice by Richard Firstman and Jay Salpeter referencing the Marty Tankleff murder case is unnecessary when a minimal bulleted synopsis will succinctly suffice in drawing out pertinent data I want to present. Breaking up a specific incident into palatable sections avoids ennui, delivering powerful prose in small doses rather than in prolific mouthfuls of minutiae. The culture of corruption and incompetence referencing Suffolk County Law Enforcement is concisely covered between the years 1979-2022. This period particularly includes a brief history of the Johnny Pius murder case; the Seymour/ Arlene Tankleff murders, the seventeen-year false imprisonment of their adopted son, Marty Tankleff, the misdirection and cover-up by detectives James McCready and Norman Rein, the purported accomplices and/or co-conspirators to those murders: Jerry Steuerman, Joseph Creedon, Peter Kent, Glen Harris; and the Rex Heuermann Gilgo Beach murder case-victims: Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Lynn Costello, and possibly Maureen Brainard-Barnes.One cannot begin to understand the culture of corruption in Suffolk County- featuring two of its major players, a young Jimmy Burke and an aspiring middle-aged prosecutor, Thomas Spota-until one goes back in time to the late 70s. The pair went on to become the infamous Suffolk County's chief of police and district attorney, respectively. The duo thwarted and botched several high-profile murder cases along the line until their imprisonment; the last matter resulting in failure to identify serial killer Rex Heuerman, whom law enforcement could have apprehended thirteen years earlier in time This last unfolding leads up to the courageous and competent formation of the Gilgo Beach Homicide Investigation Task Force, set in place by Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison, including cooperating inter-agencies from local, state, and federal governments: Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney's office, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon, Jr.'s office, New York State Police, and the FBI.
