This book is not a commentary, but a series of readings and reflections upon St. John's Gospel. It is not intended to be exhaustive, merely a sharing of thoughts based upon my own daily reading of the Bible over the last few years. It is published in the hope that others might find it useful in their own Bible reading programmes and draw inspiration from it.

As LA's hottest up-and-coming chef, Alexa Montoya is known for her ruby red lipstick and her history of falling for the wrong kind of men. When a confrontation with a loser ex-boyfriend lands her in some legal trouble, she's forced to call lawyer, Dante Perez, to bail her out...again. Only this time, Dante seems different, somehow. More assertive, more sexy, more...irresistible. Dante is tired of seeing Alexa with guys who only break her heart. He's watched her--and waited for her--long enough. His plan? He'll seduce her into finally believing that there's something deliciously right between them. But first, he'll have to prove to her that he's not just another of her fly-by-night boyfriends. Luckily, Dante already has a plan. After all, every good lawyer knows that sometimes it takes an unconventional approach to win the day...and the girl

This book is one of a collection of scripture readings for daily study, together with a selection of themed verses for meditation, either in isolation or as part of a regular prayer regime. The readings are based on a traditional lectionary and are based on the date, rather than the liturgical year. This means that the collection can be used year after year, not being specific to any one year. It also means that the readings will often be different to those used in church services, further broadening our Bible study experience. Volume 13, the Special Edition, contains additional readings for special occasions, such as Advent, Lent and Easter, and Volume 14, The Journey to the Cross, is a specific Lenten meditation including the prayers of the Early Christian Church. In this way the whole collection of 14 books complete a beautiful and invaluable permanent devotional tool, capable of being used year in year out, lasting a lifetime. Each day there are readings and meditations for morning and evening - there is no need to read both because they are independent of each other but they do follow each other in a sequence. The morning readings include a reading from the Book of Psalms and the evening readings a text from my translation of The Imitation of Christ, by Thomas Kempis, for meditation and to help us develop the spiritual side of our walk in Christ. We pray that these books will help provide a methodical study of the wonderful treasure of the Bible and enrich our prayers.

It is not intended to be exhaustive, merely a sharing of thoughts based upon my own daily reading of the Bible over the last few years. It is published in the hope that others might find it useful in their own Bible reading programmes and draw inspiration from it.The author of the Acts of the Apostles is not named but, according to Church tradition it is generally considered that he was the "Luke" named as the companion of the apostle Paul. This is supported by the fact that parts of the book are written in the first person plural, suggesting that the author was a travelling companion of Paul whilst he was on his missionary journeys. The author claims in his opening preamble that he was the author of the Gospel of St. Luke, so this assumption appears to be founded on relatively safe ground. The account concludes with the imprisonment of Paul in Rome, in approximately 63AD, which would suggest it was written at some point between then and the end of the first century.

Pimpology From a Woman's Perspective talks about my personal experiences of being pimped. My books go into the high and lows of me being a Ride or Die Chick inside my pimp's stable. My book offers words of wisdom from my mother "Don't let a man get inside your mind, once he got your mind he got you" One principle rule I did not follow in my situation, which caused me a lot of pain. The book ends with how God brought me out to bring me into my God-given purpose. By encouraging others the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus and the necessity of it. God does not define us by our past but who we as women or men become in Him. God bless.

Provides an intimate look at how 27 of today’s most innovative, inspiring, and groundbreaking knitters live and workCaptures the zeitgeist of the craft renaissanceKnitKnit, the highly collectible ’zine, has been featured in The New Yorker and on Style.comAll over North America and Europe, a brand-new generation has taken up knitting—and is transforming the venerable needlecraft by blurring the boundary between craft and art. In Copenhagen, Denmark, Isabel Berglund hand-knit an entire room. In New England, Dave Cole constructed an enormous “knitting machine” (he used excavators and utility poles) that knit an 800-stitch, 35-by-20-foot American flag. But the projects aren’t all of a monumental scale. In Los Angeles, Bridget Marrin knits little dollhouses—complete with lawns, shrubbery, and smoke-filled chimneys, all made of yarn. Using surgical wire, Indiana-based knitter Althea Merback hand-knits sweaters smaller than a dime.Five years ago, Sabrina Gschwandtner founded a ’zine to tackle the blurry edge between craft and fine art. Now, her book KnitKnit brings together profiles of 27 of the most talented artist-crafters knitting today. But KnitKnit does more than just document their ingenious creations. Each of the profiled knitters has contributed a project—a sweatshirt kimono, a mohair and metal belt, a pair of high-heeled boots, a geodesic-patterned cap, even a teddy bear knit from fiberglass insulation—meant to inspire you to find and follow your own creative path.
