The present work was carried out to demonstrate the toxic effect of indomethacin and the protective effect of kiwifruit extract on gastric and hepatic tissues of Swiss albino mice. Pantoprazole, as strong proton pump inhibitors, was used as positive control group in this study to compare the effectiveness of kiwifruit extract with it. Our work was supported by gross examination of gastric tissues and histopatholigcal examination of both gastric and hepatic tissues. In addition, level of markers of oxidative stress were evaluated by measurement of malonaldehyde level and nitric oxide to asses oxidative damage induced by indomethacin as well as measurement of the antioxidant enzymes in both gastric and hepatic tissues. Moreover, DNA damage was evaluated by the alkaline comet assay.

Cancer is a terrible word it means suffering for many people.but for me it means there is some thing else should be done.as a researcher in my field. I asked my self what can I do. The result is this book which is based on a hard research work. Cancer patients usually suffering from many nutritional problems which affect their health and their response to treatment.i had many readings about this subject. And I think how to use nutritional formula to enhance their treatment outcomes. The upper gastrointestinal cancer patients had many nutritional problems due to the disease process and the main role of gastrointestinal tract in nutritional intake. Finally when you read this book you will find yourself want to continue although it have many facts.the reasons include that you want to know what has been done, how people can benefit from this research, including upper gastrointestinal cancer patients and other researchers and how to apply. This book will stay with the reader long after the last page has been turned.

The objectives of this study are 1) isolate and identify PSTVd based on biological, chemical and molecular properties and nucleotide sequence, 2) genetic variability of some potato genotypes to PSTVd by biochemical and molecular markers, 3) elimination of PSTVd through Meristem-tip culture, thermotherapy, chemotherapy, electrotherapy treatments. As well as, production of PSTVd- free microtubers and conservation of PSTVd in vitro by calli cultures.
Chapter one sheds light on George Lukacs's theory of the historical novel. In addition, it attempts to focus on the development of the contemporary historical novel that is not set within the frame of the traditional historical novel. Furthermore, this chapter sheds light on the wider concept of postmodernism adopted by Linda Hutcheon and the development of a metahistorical analysis of history as discourse by Hayden White.Chapter two presents an analysis of Pynchon's V. in an attempt to explore the representation of history as fiction. Furthermore, it sheds light on the past in comparison with the present. Chapter three deals with the internal quest for the self through Pynchon's The Crying of Lot 49. In addition, this chapter focuses on Pynchon's ability to mix historical facts with fiction.The last part of this chapter compares between metaphor and metonymy in an attempt to rewrite the thematics of emplotment.Chapter four explores the relation between reality and fiction through Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow. Furthermore, it examines the relation between science and history. Chapter five deals with Pynchon's Mason & Dixon as an archetypal example of historiographic metafiction.
